“My favorite is pad phet fish, but even if you ask for mild spice, sometimes it comes out too spicy for an average American to eat. Fresh ingredients, nice folks, quick service. Please, though, stop mopping the floor with rancid water. The whole entry, and hallway to the restrooms stinks of bad mop water. The past two times I've come in”

“I was visiting the area and looked up GF foods. As I was leaving for my long trek home, I stopped at the bakery first and bought a bunch of items (on recommendation of another patron in the bakery). Absolutely every item I bought was amazing! My family got to try it all and agreed that everything tasted just like non-GF foods! (they don't usually like MY stuff). I now think I need to make another several hour drive just to stock my freezer!”

If you’re wanting quick, yummy eats look no further. Treat yourself to the house Italian dressing. It’s been my favorite since I was a little kid in the 90’s!”

The atmosphere was fun and laid-back, the bar food was on point, and the drinks were exactly what we needed after not going out in over a year. The bartender was super friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. It was definitely worth the babysitter fees! We’ll absolutely be back.”

“My wife and I stumbled along going to different pubs in Chittenden county VT. and found an absolute GEM of a place in Essex Jct., VT. That joint is known as Park Place , Best wings ever, Best Chili ever and other amazing food , all at reasonable prices. An amazing staff, Chelsea, Mike, Gage, Heather ,Alyssa ,Jason . Travis It reminds me and my wife of the show “Cheers” All the patrons are extremely friendly. To us, it’s like part of our family.. If you want an absolutely great “eating out “experience, and somewhere you can be yourself, come to Park Place, Again, we’ve tried many over joints but this place, by far , is the best place ever…. “My family has been coming here for years. Both my girls worked here and we have always appreciated the level of consistency that Mimmo's food offers. Always fresh, hot and delicious entrees and salads. Most recently I have been sitting at the bar while I wait for my take out order and have had the lovely privilege of being waited on by Simone's partner. She is a fireball with the best customer service skills I have encountered in Vermont or anywhere! Everything she does is to make the customer feel attended to and she does it with the most energetic and positive effort! Mimmo's never disappoints!”

“The food was quite good and I enjoyed it all. In particular, the Cajun shrimp which was fantastic (and surprising), the Kung Pao beef, and chow fun. Scallion pancakes were nice and crispy.”

“Super-fun experience at the culinary experience at the Essex Resort in Essex, VT. Our instructor, Denise, led us through the recipes and techniques to create a wonderful Vermont dinner that included roasted root vegetables, braised chicken (in dark beer and demi-glacé) with shallots and a variety of mushrooms, and a lovely kale salad. We were given the opportunity to decorate autumn themed sugar cookies as well as dip tiny apples into a luscious caramel coating. A small group of 9 students made the experience very intimate. Our meal was served with wine and fresh bread accompanied by an herbed compound butter. Denise was a perfect instructor and I would recommend the experience to anyone who loves to cook.”

“I think 3.9 is about right for this place. It's one of those, for Vermont it's not bad, but anywhere else it would have closed already. Went in on a hot day, and their either was no air-conditioning or they did not turn it on. Went to watch a NHL Stanley Cup game, and it mostly worked out. No sound, because reasons. Our server, Sara I think, was fantastic and worked to make everything better. However, once her shift ended and we stayed an additional 45 minutes to catch the end of the game we did not see another wait staff person come to our table, even with our empty water and beer glasses at the end of the table. There are not a lot of sports bars in Burlington, so kind of hard to keep out of this place, but I doubt I go back unless there is no place else.”

“What a fantastic experience. The staff were fabulous and the food was delicious. Be sure to get their Parker House rolls. The wine menu was extensive and bar staff were helpful with selections. If you are staying at Hotel Vermont, it is right next door. Highly recommend for dinner and drinks.”

“The food here is generally good though it does have some issues with consistency. The major issue that we have is the time it takes to be reserved. It takes a long long time. We were there a couple of weeks ago and I think we had some appetizer and really just soup and we were probably there for almost 2 hours. It won't stop us from coming back, but it's something worth noting.”

“Inventive dishes made with fresh and local ingredients. Vegetable forward. Staff is friendly and kind. Any dessert with buttercream frosting is the way to go. I have had two of the best desserts of my life at this restaurant.”

“We made reservations for our large group ahead of time and they were very accommodating. The service was fantastic, keeping our drinks full and making recommendations from the menu. The food was all delicious, and everyone enjoyed their meal. About half of our group hadn’t had Indian food before but they all left as fans! The waiter was able to easily guide the vegan in our group to a variety options for him. We all enjoyed tea and a sweet at the end. We are so glad to have found this restaurant and will definitely be back!”

“By far the best creemee’s we’ve had this year. We’ve gone too many times to count because they’re that good! The butterscotch is next level and would maybe highly recommend that everyone give it a try. My only suggestion would be to pass out napkins when giving customers their cones. It feels as though there is a reluctance to hand them out when ice cream can be a messy but necessary evil!”

“The food was good, with a big variation. I loved the clams, but the chocolate mousse was disappointing, mostly whipped cream. The fish was cooked really well, but the sides and beans appetizer were just fine. The non-alcoholic negroni was excellent.

The main waitress was very attentive and friendly; the rest of the staff was unprofessional, multiple times they dropped plates on the table and walked away without a comment.

The atmosphere is nice, but nothing special, and it gets pretty loud.”

“Stopped by Sweet Simone’s a few weeks back while in town for a golf trip and happened to catch their Aperitivo event (the oysters were on point). The atmosphere was amazing, the people were welcoming, and the food was spot on. We made a point to swing back the next morning to try breakfast and pastries, and they were just as impressive. Fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious. They actually had a bagel flavor of bacon/egg/chese which was awesome. Can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. You’ll be glad you did.”

“Really nice menu. Highlights include the custom charcuterie (sp?) where the olives were fabulous and the daily house made mozzarella was absolutely the best I've ever had.
Pizzas are really good with a nice dough, thin crust, and obviously a hot wood fired oven.
Service was a little slow and a little forgetful. It was a saturday night, so the kithchen was understandably under pressure, but on top of this, our waiter was just inattentive.”
