“I was visiting the area and looked up GF foods. As I was leaving for my long trek home, I stopped at the bakery first and bought a bunch of items (on recommendation of another patron in the bakery). Absolutely every item I bought was amazing! My family got to try it all and agreed that everything tasted just like non-GF foods! (they don't usually like MY stuff). I now think I need to make another several hour drive just to stock my freezer!”

The atmosphere was fun and laid-back, the bar food was on point, and the drinks were exactly what we needed after not going out in over a year. The bartender was super friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. It was definitely worth the babysitter fees! We’ll absolutely be back.”

That joint is known as Park Place , Best wings ever, Best Chili ever and other amazing food , all at reasonable prices. An amazing staff, Chelsea, Mike, Gage, Heather ,Alyssa ,Jason . Travis It reminds me and my wife of the show “Cheers” All the patrons are extremely friendly. To us, it’s like part of our family.. If you want an absolutely great “eating out “experience, and somewhere you can be yourself, come to Park Place, Again, we’ve tried many over joints but this place, by far , is the best place ever…. “My family has been coming here for years. Both my girls worked here and we have always appreciated the level of consistency that Mimmo's food offers. Always fresh, hot and delicious entrees and salads. Most recently I have been sitting at the bar while I wait for my take out order and have had the lovely privilege of being waited on by Simone's partner. She is a fireball with the best customer service skills I have encountered in Vermont or anywhere! Everything she does is to make the customer feel attended to and she does it with the most energetic and positive effort! Mimmo's never disappoints!”

“Hop Sing, hop, sing, I hop sing with joy when I order the spring rolls. Freaking unbelievable, especially if you’re trying to compare it to other Chinese food spots. I forget the young lady at the character, always sweet always helpful, she told me that they’re better because they make them fresh twice a week. I’m telling you, you can taste the difference! Lightly seasoned with whatever they do with it, the vegetables are always crisp fresh and the duck sauce, they also make in store, and it is just different. Good prices, especially when you’re getting handmade homemade food!”

“Super-fun experience at the culinary experience at the Essex Resort in Essex, VT. Our instructor, Denise, led us through the recipes and techniques to create a wonderful Vermont dinner that included roasted root vegetables, braised chicken (in dark beer and demi-glacé) with shallots and a variety of mushrooms, and a lovely kale salad. We were given the opportunity to decorate autumn themed sugar cookies as well as dip tiny apples into a luscious caramel coating. A small group of 9 students made the experience very intimate. Our meal was served with wine and fresh bread accompanied by an herbed compound butter. Denise was a perfect instructor and I would recommend the experience to anyone who loves to cook.”

Had my son with autism order for us to practice and the staff member working register was so cool about it. We appreciate that giys!”

“While the food and coffee is always average at best I found the charmy atmosphere quite appealing. I also noted that only one worker was there handling it all while their manager wouldn't come and help. That young lady named Sam was so amazing and polite, I felt so bad for her being treated that way.”

“We were a party of 6. High table near the bar. A Saturday night. We had a great time and were never rushed.
Our food was good and quick. Our drinks were the same.
I had fish tacos, which were great! 3 came in the order. I ordered onion rings with them because I was expecting less than I got. I didn't need the onion rings.
We got there @ 5:30 and stayed for 3 hours. Again, I never felt rushed to exit the joint. Our server even said we could spend the night if we wanted. Rare for a busy place on a Saturday night.
Parking was limited behind the building. But, as I typed, we got there early, so no trouble finding parking.
I would go back.”

“First time visiting this outlet, atmosphere was really good, maybe due to this location which to me maybe a little out of the way, quite quiet and it has a steady stream of people coming and mostly take away.
Order a simple hamburger meal, coffee and fries. Found the coffee was cold, went to the counter and the staff was polite and apologize for the cold coffee, later she came back with hot coffee. The service is good only thing they need to take will be the napkins, ketchup which are out but they started to refill immediately when informed.”

“We had dinner at onion city for my birthday this past October (like 4 days ago). We were greeted quickly and seated. We ordered a whiskey sours and wine while we scanned the menu. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder as an appetizer, which was buttery and delightful. Dinner was a lobster roll and fish and chips. Lobster was tender and not overly dressed. Fish was lightly breaded and not over done. Staff were great, delightful and attentive. Environment is clean and cozy. Overall, had a great time. Highly recommended. We look forward to out next visit for the fried chicken sandwich. It’s got quite the reputation…. A great one. Check out Onion City. Well worth it.”

“WOW!! All the food was absolutely amazing. I’m dairy free, my husband is not. Because of this, we normally don’t share dishes. Tonight we got only vegan/dairy free dishes and we were both blown away. The hummus, sweet potato, and seared cabbage were highlights. Will definitely be back. Can’t recommend enough. “My Fiancé and I had our first experience at Hen of the Wood in Burlington, what an incredible time we had! We just got engaged and had to celebrate. I decided to get the pork loin, and it was delicious! My fiancé loved his steak. It was perfection. Our waitress was amazing and so thoughtful. She made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful. the atmosphere was casual yet somewhat formal and we had a blast! Can't forget about how scrumptious those rolls were too! Definitely recommend !!”

“We made reservations for our large group ahead of time and they were very accommodating. The service was fantastic, keeping our drinks full and making recommendations from the menu. The food was all delicious, and everyone enjoyed their meal. About half of our group hadn’t had Indian food before but they all left as fans! The waiter was able to easily guide the vegan in our group to a variety options for him. We all enjoyed tea and a sweet at the end. We are so glad to have found this restaurant and will definitely be back!”

“By far the best creemee’s we’ve had this year. We’ve gone too many times to count because they’re that good! The butterscotch is next level and would maybe highly recommend that everyone give it a try. My only suggestion would be to pass out napkins when giving customers their cones. It feels as though there is a reluctance to hand them out when ice cream can be a messy but necessary evil!”

“Service was perfect amount of friendly/professional. The building updates, soft lighting, and openness of the restaurant was great. The food - ridiculous. I saw cabbage on the menu in two spots, I knew I had to try one. I got the side with garlic sauce - it was transformed into something else entirely. It should be illegal what happens to cabbage here! Over all - a wonderful and refreshingly surprising adventure with taste, texture and flavor combos. I will be back!”
