“Aside from never figuring out how to pay for parking, my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch 😀 We both ordered the Rough Francis chicken sandwich and it was great. If you don't like spicy, ask for the chicken to be plain! It was huge, very yummy, and the chips were delicious sliced and fried potato. Would recommend!”

“ATTEMPTED TIP SHAMPERS!!! Went to the Monkey House for pizza and a drink as I often do in the evenings after work. Tonight I decided to order a whole pizza which costs about $18 plus tax. Between the person I'm dining with and myself, we order 4 drinks. When the bill comes its $45. So I decide to tip $5.00 to the bartender because I had already tipped the gentleman who made my pizza $5.00. The bartender Maria, who was preoccupied with texting on her phone and had her back turned to me the majority of the time I was there eventually brings my credit card back, along with my bill. I chose to tip her $5.00 because I thought that was fair (4 drinks). Maria then looks at my receipt then loudly says to me "I dont usually serve people who tip less than 10%" [SIDE NOTE $5.00 is more than 10% Maria!] You know what Maria, I want my $5.00 back! (I called and she did agree not to charge my creidt card the $5.00 tip.) However, I was enjoying my evening up until Maria attempted to wrongfully tip shame me. Probably wont be back here, at least for a while. Why do bartenders think they should be tipped on food they didn't even make? (And if the answer is, we tip out the guy who makes the pizza, than why is there an extra tip bucket asking for tips specifically for the pizza maker?) what if my pizza was to-go? Would Maria still expect a 20% tip on that? so very annoyed/frustrated and angry at what happened tonight!”

“Super fun little place for cocktails. The drinks are well priced and tasty. Not a lot of space, but nice and quaint. Not super private, so don't plan on having a sneaky link rendez vous or a high stakes business meeting here. But if you want delicious cocktails served by pleasant staff...and sometimes with cool music, this is a place for you.”

“Southern Smoke has awesome tasting food! The chicken was so flavorful, moist and delicious. The mac and cheese was cooked perfectly, not gummy or chalky, full of flavor. The food stayed hot! The owner Brian was easy to deal with! I would not go anywhere else for catering!”

“I love this place so much. I have been a patriot since it was at its small shop. What I love about it is that the customer service is always wonderfully friendly. it feels like I'm walking into their home to eat their mom's home cooking. I have traveled around and tried pho soup to assess which one is the best. I have gone to Florida Virginia all around the East Coast and hands down their pho soup is the best of the best! I even brought my sister with confidence and she's never tried Vietnamese food before and she had her mind alone. her and her daughter are quite the foodies themselves and they were pleasantly and wonderfully surprised. they said this is the best they ever had!”

“I am blown away. You ever feel like you can taste the love in a meal? That’s how my burrito bowl tasted. This was the best lunch I’ve had in winooski in years. So flavorful, and also felt healthy. Also, only 10.99 for a generous portion. Plus I got a mango lassi on the side? Where else u getting a burrito bowl and mango lassi together? Give them your business, they deserve it. “Sneakers Bistro was one of those places that immediately made an impression. After my first meal, I knew I couldn’t leave Vermont without coming back a second time.

My first visit was for the chicken and waffles with a side of bacon and a freshly brewed coffee. The chicken portion was generous, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Paired with the house gravy and Vermont maple syrup, it created an incredible sweet-and-savory combination that I couldn’t get enough of. Every bite was packed with flavor, and it might honestly be the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had.

The second time, I ordered the veggie hash with an English muffin and a Vermont maple latte. The hash was loaded with fresh ingredients and delivered a colorful, vibrant mix of flavors that made every bite enjoyable. The maple latte was the perfect addition and a great local touch.

What impressed me just as much as the food was how smoothly everything ran. The waitlist process was efficient, the service was friendly and attentive, and the entire dining experience felt well organized from start to finish.

Between the outstanding food, excellent coffee, welcoming atmosphere, and great service, Sneakers Bistro was one of the highlights of my Vermont trip. If you’re visiting Winooski, do yourself a favor and make a stop here. Highly recommend.”

“On a road trip from out of state, googled some options and was recommended Jrs from another restaurant that was reservations only tonight; so very happy that’s how it worked out! We called ahead to make sure they had openings and the girl I talked to was very friendly. Upon arrival though they mentioned they don’t take reservations they had a table for 5 ready for us. Coming from out of state with 3 kids of different ages there were a lot of questions about the menu and our waitress Lexi was patient and kind; speaking with them directly and making sure to answer all questions. Drinks were refilled without asking, extra napkins supplied, she kept an eye out and checked in regularly. The food was fantastic as well, but Lexi was superb!”

Then the lights go down, the music comes up, and suddenly you are at After Dark watching drag, pole dance, burlesque, and queer excellence unfold in front of you to a backdrop of kick ass sound and lighting production.

The staff brings serious hospitality, and Cat, the bar manager, deserves her own standing ovation. She keeps the energy warm, welcoming, and effortlessly cool, which is no small feat when the room is full of performers, DJs, glitter, beer, and people pretending they are “just stopping by for one.” Four Quarters has become a go to space for top tier event production, DJ’d sets, and nightlife that actually feels alive. It is a brewery. It is a venue. It is a vibe. It might be flirting with you.”
