“The food was delicious. The atmosphere invites you to stay and chat for hours. But don't because there are always people waiting for a table. Parking is free on Sundays and harder to find on weekdays and Saturdays. It's worth the frustration. The staff is fantastic too.“

“it’s Saturday night, I’m enjoying a draft w a friend, all of a sudden the bartender runs outta the place at lightning speed. He zips through the patio and with the precision of a cat, parkours over the chain to confront some departing patrons climbing into a car. We wonder —whats going on? is he giving them back something left behind? No! these folks are thieves, and he is retrieving several glasses they stole! How did he notice? We may never know. These patrons hid these glasses skillfully, but this bartender was laser focused. I have never seen a bartender act with such urgency. he protected his place of employment from petty theft while simultaneously providing us entertainment. brilliant. thank you for making me laugh“

“My Fiancé and I had our first experience at Hen of the Wood in Burlington, what an incredible time we had! We just got engaged and had to celebrate. I decided to get the pork loin, and it was delicious! My fiancé loved his steak. It was perfection. Our waitress was amazing and so thoughtful. She made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful. the atmosphere was casual yet somewhat formal and we had a blast! Can't forget about how scrumptious those rolls were too! “We made reservations for our large group ahead of time and they were very accommodating. The service was fantastic, keeping our drinks full and making recommendations from the menu. The food was all delicious, and everyone enjoyed their meal. About half of our group hadn’t had Indian food before but they all left as fans! The waiter was able to easily guide the vegan in our group to a variety options for him. We all enjoyed tea and a sweet at the end. We are so glad to have found this restaurant and will definitely be back!“

Our first time there and not impressed with the food. Service was very good, cocktail was rather small for the $17 charged and had a very strong cardamom taste. Pizza was ok. Crust was a little on the soft side (partly soggy). Looks like the Verace style but far from having the same taste and texture.“

We had three meals out in Burlington over our weekend, and this one was the best! Get the word out: This restaurant is a GEM hidden near the South Burlington Library andTown Hall. Top notch mango lassi. Mango and yogurt combination was top tier.
Chicken Korma was less on the sweetness, different than our local place back home, but I actually prefer the one here. Flavor was wonderful and hit all the rights spots.
Tandoori chicken was a huge portion and we ended up taking home leftovers enough to be another meal!
