I love going to this restaurant. The first time, we went to Escondite in Old Montreal and had the tasting menu. We were impressed with the quality, quantity and variety of the food. We fell in love with the starters. It must be said that by the time we got to the tacos we were no longer very hungry. We returned to Escondite de Verdun to take, this time only starters. We tried some new ones and everything was really good. I highly recommend this place.
First time at this restaurant and wow we are definitely going to come back. Everything was perfect :)

Wonderful experience at Escondite Wellington. We were greeted warmly as we entered and the staff were very friendly and profesional with us. The food was amazing and the tacos were huge! I’m really satisfied with our experience as a group of 9, we were accommodated nicely. Thank you again to the staff and 5/5 would recommend.

It is Mexican food but they are not only traditional tacos, they are tacos with new flavors, that is, they have the classic amateurs with touches of new flavors that for my taste since I am Mexican, they do not taste bad and some are delicious but they do have a very personal touch from the restaurant, it is worth going, trying them and being open to new flavors

This place is usually full in the evenings with great drinks decor and ambiance and their beautiful terrace in the summer. But people dont seem to know that they are also opened for breakfast /brunch. I just can not get enough of their chilaquiles verde and my boyfriend love their enchiladas gratinadas. The prices are super affordable. My big plate of chilaquiles was 13.95$. Seriously, come and try it out. It would be so sad if they stopped doing brunch.

Among the best tacos I've eaten! Shrimp cooked to perfection ??
However, their bloody Cesar recipe was a little too bitter for my taste.
I recommend I always enjoyed myself when I went!

Verdun is the best place to visit in the summer and this beautiful place is one of the upsides on Wellington street. The atmosphere is great, also the service and the food. I love that their menu is not just traditional regular Mexican food, but they add originality and uniqueness to it, like matcha cream? Or some Japanese style on another options. You can see that is a beautiful and unique place.

Jose was the best server we could have possibly asked for! Super kind and helpful and recommended the fiesta on the table (the best the restaurant had to offer) and it really was fantastic. Would highly recommend everything, but the mango salad and ribs were to die for. Leche margarita was deadly. Churros were mind blowing. I want to come back for my birthday in January with all my friends and fam! ❤️
