Very good restaurant!!!
It’s really average, and I was deceived by Xiaohongshu again.
Spicy hot chocolate = ordinary hot chocolate + cinnamon + spicy (slightly spicy, only spicy for the throat)
The meat wrapped around the scotch egg in Champi is Orleans-flavored and not as delicious as Xiaohongshu said.
Gros Jambon is average. I won’t find it unpalatable at first bite, but I definitely won’t finish it. There’s a bit of dried meat in it that’s terrible.

Well worth the wait! Wow very fun breakfast menu options. Perfectly cooked eggs and something for everyone. You get so much in your plate. I want to go back and try everything!!
**Definitely go during the week day to skip the line that wraps around the front door.

The Scottish egg and carrot cake is phenomenal! Make sure you make reservations. They are quite busy!

Went there with friends. We had a good time.
The restaurant seems to be super popular, so be patient before getting assigned to a table.
We had to do wait outside, but Janine super kind and was offering hot tea to keep us warm.
I ordered « Œuf et Bœuf », the presentation was excellent and it looked so tasty. I was anticipating a tastier bun, but overall il was a good plate.

Fantastic experience. Went for brunch on a Saturday morning and was a little hesitant because of the line, but they brought hot tea to those waiting. Their ability to keep people pleased and have quick service even at their peak busy times was very impressive. Their food and drinks were both instagrammable and delicious, and their prices were fair for the elevated experience.

First experience and WOW!!!!! The food was excellent…the service excellent too! Our server was very kind and attentive. You have just gained a new customer.. for customers who are tempted to find the prices expensive, know that the plates are very generous and of excellent quality. I recommend Janine to all those who wish to have a great culinary experience.

THEY REMOVED THE WAFFLE CHICKEN!! The only good thing they had in the meny tbh for me and alot of others I know who would go there only for that dish, it's a shame, they replaced it for a Fried Chicken Sandwich and it's not NEARLY as good..please put it back :(!!

We decided to start winter with brunch at Janine Café, a very popular place in Montreal. Although the wait was long, the service was attentive from the start, coming to see us outside to give us a time estimate and take our name. An excellent point for managing expectations!

To warm us up, they offered us a shot of juice when we arrived at the table, a little touch that was good after braving the cold. My girlfriend ordered a latte, which was not only delicious, but also beautifully decorated with a fir tree design on the foam, perfect for the holiday season.

As for dishes, we opted for the “Sucré Salé” for me and the “Fried Chicken Sandwich” for my girlfriend. Both dishes were absolutely incredible. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and everything was cooked well. We can't wait to come back to explore the rest of the menu!

The service was quick and attentive, with careful and personalized table setting. The only downside is the absence of curtains on the windows, which means that you eat facing people waiting outside – a little annoying, but nothing dramatic.

Overall, Janine Café is a great place for brunch in Montreal. We will come back without hesitation!

I have heard a lot of positive feedback about this restaurant and was very excited to try it. There was a very long lineup to get in (around an hour, on a Sunday at 10:30), but that is expected since the place is very popular. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous, definitely the nicest brunch place in town. The food is definitely expensive. The presentation is beautiful but I personally thought it was rather average. Since the place was so busy, the staff only came to us to take the order and to bring it. When we asked for the bill, it took 20 minutes to actually get it, yet the waitress just kept passing in front of us and we were clearly waiting to leave. It kind of ruined the experience as we just felt forgotten, especially after waiting for so long to get it.
