We went on a Saturday night. The food was good, but the overall experience was unpleasant. The restaurant was clearly understaffed. A lot of our orders were missing. In between batches, my friends and I were waiting on empty table for half an hour. The staff were sooo busy. We asked at least 5 times if our order were still coming, every time they said yes. In the end we waited so long that we weren't hungry anymore, just wanted to finish the experience. For this price range, there are lots of other choices.
The wife and I misread the closing hours and showed up at 9pm on a thursday night. We found out on arrival that the kitchen’s last call would be at 9:15 - not ideal for a BYOB AYCE experience…EXCEPT our server Ricky took the time to explain in detail how the chef could prepare a full course tasting menu and they could extend the kitchen’s closing time by an extra 15min (we pushed it to 25min, but it didn’t seem like too big of a deal). All in all we were very happy that we decided to stay and got to taste basically the whole menu, even if that last-call curated menu is a bit carb heavy. Big thanks to Ricky for his patience and understanding, and of course thank you to the kitchen staff for sticking around a few minutes longer for us!
A little bit expensive for korean BBQ
Mom and Pop reataurant with excellent atmosphere. We went in and decided to order the Chef's special.. I wish I got a picture because the food/plating was on point! Better than other Korean BBQ I've been to in Montreal. Food was delicious! I'd definitely take my Vancouver friends here. Loved our server, he was so enthusiastic and I could feel how he loved the place and the food.
Dietary restrictions: They made egg & dairy free alternatives for the different plates in the chef special for me

Really nothing negative to say, best Korean bbq I've ever had
The Best KBBQ in Montreal undisputed! Staff is happy to work there, the food is fresh and tasty and generous portions! If he isn't busy talk to the owner Lee, we shared a glass of soju and beer, he is an amazing person!

Best all you can eat Korean BBQ, their marinated meats really make a world of difference and the staff was very attentive to our needs. I will definitely be returning.

I recently dined (with my hubby) at KUI Korean BBQ in Verdun and had a great experience! Our server, Ricky, was exceptionally friendly and made us feel right at home. The all-you-can-eat concept is fantastic, but keep in mind there’s a fee for any uneaten food, which is a responsible approach to minimize waste.
The highlight of our meal was definitely the meats; the ribeye and chadol (beef brisket) were absolutely tender and flavorful. The prepared appetizers, including takoyaki, fried fish, and fried chicken, were also delicious. I loved the flexibility of ordering exactly what we wanted and in whatever quantities we desired, without the constraints of preset menus. Despite us being really full at the end of our meal, we still managed to order some popsicles (made in Korea!). I recommend the green matcha and red bean one!
Being a BYOB establishment made the night even more affordable, and since we visited on a quieter Wednesday, it was a relaxed atmosphere. Ricky informed us that weekends can get quite busy, so reservations are a must!
This place is perfect for groups, offering a set price for a fun and interactive dining experience. Just a tip: wear something you don’t mind smelling a bit like BBQ, as the ventilation system is a bit old-fashioned and pulls air from the top.
Overall, KUI Korean BBQ is a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Korean BBQ in a welcoming environment. We can’t wait to return with friends.
