Have you ever paid $8 for a bad drink and tipped someone who spoke not a single word to you throughout the entire 'exchange'? This girl looked at me with no expression and dead eyes like I was a nuisance. When's the last time you can remember buying something and the person didn't say a single word to you. Just stared at you like a serial killer. It was a first for me and it was wild. I wanted to order a pastry but she'd already turned away. I'd rather deal with a robot for real.

Incredible space, great breakfast sandwich and cappuccino was perfect. Nice fresh squeezed orange juice too. Kid friendly with toys and books. Beautiful.

I am very picky with coffee and this cafe does coffee justice. They have their own coffee brand, the cafe is huge with a ton of seating and they have a private patio in the back to relax and read. The staff is friendly and their pastries and scones are always fresh.

The Lili & Oli staff are always super friendly and service here is usually quick. The cafe itself is very cute with plenty of seating, though it is almost always busy, so watch out for that. They have giant windows that let in loads of afternoon sunlight, and overall the vibe is cosy and relaxed. The brownies are delish, the cheddar chive scones are a dream, and while I am not a coffee drinker and cannot speak to that, their teas (hot and iced) have always been very tasty. I had my first ever matcha latte here too! My one disappointment is their new-ish policy about laptops on the weekend--they are not permitted before 2pm on Saturday and Sunday. I always go to a cafe to catch up on some creative projects on Sundays and Lili & Oli used to be my regular stop. Since implementing this policy I haven't been by as much, which has been sad. However, this policy has meant that the cafe has become much less busy over the weekends thanks to fewer people parking at a table for hours, which would make it the perfect spot to stop for a coffee with a friend or a good book!
