Great cozy spot in downtown Waterloo. I stopped by for an ice coffee and had a quick game of Connect Four. They have a selection of games (crib, scrabble, cards) to play in their cafe and some books on the shelf. The staff were super friendly and the service was quick. I will return to try out their food items.
I hesitated between 2 and 3 stars, the service was really not very pleasant, as if we were disturbing them. The positives being the good sandwiches, with a variety of craft beers and wines. Decor ok, but disjointed.I expected a lot more considering the general rating on Google, but since there are no options in Waterloo I understand that Sissi comes to fill a need, especially with their jazz evenings.
Vegetarian options: If we ask, she can prepare whatever we want.
Dietary restrictions: I asked if there was any gluten-free food, there was none, I asked if there was a salad, that day there was none but I was offered to make one for myself. She was excellent
