J’ai très bien mangé ce midi. Bon service et toilettes propres.
Bad readymade frozen food. To sell the frozen parathas each individually for $8 when you can literally buy a pack of 5 malabar Parathas for $2 is weird. It’s not like they are making them in house coz I had those parathas and they are not made in-house and are the same frozen ones from the supermarket. They are just selling frozen and reheating it in the name of vegetarian food and it’s not ok. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.
Reply to the owner- if the Parathas are frozen ones then why are you including them in your dishes and charging $9 for one frozen paratha when a pack of 5 is available for $2. Just stop lying and I wouldn’t ever recommend this restaurant to anyone. You don’t make vegan nutritious food..you sell frozen food at 15x the margin and call it ‘made from scratch’. Pretty sure the malai kofta is also coming from the frozen section!
Les mets et l’ambiance sont merveilleux
Edit Jan 31 2025:
My review was submitted before I spoke to a manager while waiting to be acknowledged that I had completed my meal and while watching other patrons who arrived before and after me get adequate customer service. The poor service started before I mentioned that the burger tasted nothing like the Buffalo burger I had before. So, my raising that is not what contributed to the poor service although it should not have.
This restaurant also sent me an email reply to my completing their webform. They made a distasteful comment that suggested my experience was in my head or that the deplorable service was justified. I was satisfied with the resolution for me not to pay. However, their distasteful comment days later confirmed this is a restaurant to stay away from.
If you don't believe me, check your cameras if you have them. You will see that I was treated differently. Don't gaslight me or diminish what I experienced as a result of your staff.
Original Review:
Just learned one of my long-time friends has cancer. I had an appointment nearby an opted for a healthy meal before returning home. I ordered the Buffalo burger, which I have eaten before. I also asked for water to drink. The water never arrived. However, people who came in before me and after me got glasses of water. I looked at the burger before eating it. I knew it was not the Buffalo burger. I got up from my table since no one had the courtesy to check on me after my food was served while other guests were checked on. I am Black. The only Black person in this space. Is that what explains the detrimental differential treatment? I went by the kitchen and told them I was given the wrong burger. I was told I was given the Buffalo burger. I bit into the untouched burger which confirmed I was not given the right burger. I told them I got the wrong burger because it does not taste like Buffalo burger. I got another burger and again, it was not the Buffalo burger. I did not bother to inform them again. Is the chef new? I've had the Buffalo burger before and this is not it. This was an extremely disappointing experience, which especially was not ideal given I just learned one of my long-time friends has cancer. Your staff saw me in tears when I placed my order and asked for water... the water I never received while others around me got water and better service. Deplorable.
I went to eat here with my wife and I was very disappointed. You better keep this review up and stop only keeping the good reviews up. The waitress who served us seemed so dazed and miserable. It looked like there was no thoughts behind her eyes. There was one employee just on her phone the entire time, at that point I'm not sure why she even showed up to work. My friend suggested this restaurant and he had a better experience with a new waitress however I dont believe she's working there anymore. I wouldn't want to stay working in this restaurant either. I could've bought better food in the frozen section at costco. Im never returning.

Had the brunch burrito and loved it. Everything my family had we loved.
I've been coming here since before I went vegan and it's still where I go when I was something fresh and delicious ?
Recommended.

A cozy spot with exceptional service, thanks to Mia, who truly elevated the experience. The burger with shiitake mushrooms was enjoyable, though the potato wedges could have been improved. The dirty chai latte was decent, but the chai spice was slightly overpowering. Overall, it was a pleasant visit and a great option for vegan dining.
Parking: For parking, park for free next to Westmount Park on Sherbrooke, and take 7 min stroll to the restaurant.

Excellent vegan food. I mostly always get the BLT. A bit pricey but very generous portion, so worth it.

The menu was extensive - a true vegan gem with the right mix of healthy options and vegan comfort food. The restaurant itself was bright and airy. Our server was knowledgeable about ingredients and answered our questions in a most friendly manner. She made excellent recommendations. We loved the buffalo tempeh but ate it before we remembered to take a photo. The perfect place for lunch! Updated from previous review on 2024-10-17
Really great vegan restaurant; the potato wedges were amazing!

Really awesome, as always. I had the BLT which was my go-to order at the original location over 20 years ago. It tastes just as good as it did back then!
My daughter loved her burger and the fries tasted just like we would make them at home.
Lovely place, beautiful plants and atmosphere with a kind and quick service. We look forward to coming back again soon!

I usually only leave reviews for places that I love but this restaurant is exceptionally horrible. The food is honestly offensive, the blandest vegan food I have ever had. Everything tasted like uncooked tofu that compensated with way too much sauce. I've been vegan for over 8 years and this restaurant makes me embarrassed to be vegan haha. The service is even worse. If you want to have a good day, I'd skip this experience.

Trying something a little different I went for dinner with a friend (a former vegan) on a Wednesday evening.
There is a small sidewalk terrace but we elected inside as it was a little chilly. The restaurant inside is very bright with a pretty laid back vibe and decor.
The staff was very warm and helpful in terms of explaining some of the options and giving recommendations to me, a proud carnivore.
We ordered 2 bowls, Dragon & Mumbai Bowl, Tempeh Satay and Mango Lassi. Orders came fast, presentation was very nice and everything was tasty.
No complaints and would repeat.
Vegetarian options: Well its a a vegan restaurant so everything is vegetarian
