Was in Montreal for my anniversary and a friend recommended Taverne Sur Le Square and it did not disappoint. I had the house Mac and cheese and I will say this was the best version I've ever had. The cacio e pepe brussel sprouts was also delicious. Service was exceptional. Will definitely be returning and recommend a visit to my friends and family.

Amazing personable service, the menu has something for everyone which is hard to do and their specials are seasonal and delicious.
Now the wines, they have a great and extensive wine list with great price points PLUS a huge cellar list. If you love wine you must come here and be treated to a great evening of food and wine.
Oh and the dessert menu is superb. Love restaurants where it's hard to choose what to eat because everything sounds and is delicious.

The real deal. There's a reason this place has been in business so long. It's clear that everything is done with love- the ingredients, the dishes, the wine. This is a good place to splurge because it's a sure bet. I hate going to a pricey restaurant only to eat mediocre food and get treated like crap. The service at Taverne is always perfect.
