Comfortable, airy, and easy going environment Able to view the chef creating the most delish, fresh foods. The variety of labeled oysters were all cold, clean, and fresh. The clam chowder was flavorful, and bountiful with melt in you mouth clams. Service was on point from start to finish!

We went for the oyster happy hour, which is a great deal, and enjoyed some small plates as well. Cocktails were wonderful and our server, Ian, was the best. We always have a great meal here. In addition to the excellent raw bar offerings, the chef has created a delicious and diverse menu. Highly recommend!

Spent the day in Bristol, this was the last stop before heading home. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable! Oysters were some of the best I've ever had! I recommend making reservations, they were busy even on a Sunday night. Try the spicy

Dinner was delish. I did not like the oyster madness fine print of mon-thursday though and of course no one explained it to us. But otherwise prices were reasonable and the food was great

Baked oysters were flavorful! Food was fresh and cooked to perfection!. The place inside is small. We asked for a table for 5... they accommodated us but it was tight. Wine prices are high with a 9oz at $19. Overall, the food was so good we would come back. We went for a birthday... not sure I would go for a special occasion there but if you want really good fresh seafood and great oysters this is a good place.

First off I want to rave about the drinks Mike made. Best mule I have ever had and the quickness in which they arrived is crazy with how busy this place was. The shuckers got everything ready timely. Everything was great honestly.

Boisterous atmosphere. Full bar. Fine wine list. Very fresh shellfish and a limited menu of notably tasty small and large plates. Based on our single experience at the Bristol Oyster Bar, its wait staff is attentive, responsive, able to explain its "Oyster Madness" tasting offer coherently, and willing to retrieve information about culinary methods from the chef when asked. The oysters are wonderfully fresh (and, as you would expect in Bristol, the littlenecks taste as though they are right out of Narragansett Bay. Maybe they are.). The grilled octopus small plate is memorably tender. The cod loin is deliciously firm. If the rest of the menu is cooked with equal skill, the Bristol Oyster Bar qualifies as a small culinary gem. For what it is, this oyster bar is about as good as it gets. It's worth finding your way to it even in the dark, which is sadly not intuitive. On a dank, foggy night It may not be obvious to anyone how to enter the restaurant, not easy for the fit , and a challenge for the feeble. Make a reservation and plan to park in the back of the building -- a left off Court Street.

My wife and I stopped in for oysters and drinks at lunchtime. Michael Zito and his counterpart, (shucker) served us with expertise, humor and a little Lolkal Knowledge .We had a variety of cold water oysters that we do not always see in New Jersey. We had a fantastic culinary experience, so much that we returned for diner 4 hours later. Another dozen oysters, swordfish and linguine special were exceptional. A couple of shaken martinis, a few glasses of vouvray , all topped off a great Saturday dinning experience.I can't thank Mike enough for the hospitality and recommendations.Michael and Diane Webb

We had a girls lunch on a Saturday afternoon and it was a great time! We asked to be seated in the heated tent and ended up having the tent to ourselves :). Ian was a great server and was super attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Oysters, cocktails, and entrees were all fantastic. Be will definitely be back.

It's a lot of fun mixing March Madness and my love of oysters. I'll be back every week to see who wins the title, enjoying the rest of the menu as much as the competition.

Disappointing quality of food. Swordfish 2 thin and small slices but with excellent veges. Ordered “rare” rack of lamb brown / well done through and through. Again, great accompaniments. Not what it was a year ago. Wht a shame.
