“Since becoming lactose intolerant, the two types of foods that I miss most are cheese-filled pastas and rich, decadent desserts. I have had those types of food at other places that use dairy substitutes and have found them to be good, but not the same as the "real thing". Foglia was incredible! My husband and I tried two pastas and two desserts. I don't know how the chefs did it, but the food tasted exactly like it had been prepared with the highest quality, rich dairy ingredients, even though it was 100% non-dairy. We also had the Lion's mane mushroom entree which was excellent. Service, wine selection and cocktails were all excellent too. Already planning my next trip there.”

“Amazing food! I'm not a vegan and was a little hesitant. I got the Chimichurri Cauliflower Burrito Bowl and it was amazing! Hubby and I split that and a chicken wrap supreme along with cheesy fries. Everything was so fresh and flavorful! I will definitely be back. Think this may be a weekly lunch stop!”

“This place is off the beaten path. Plenty of parking, great selection of craft brewed beer & seltzer. My favorite is the Apple Pie. They offer cans to go on some items. The Dread red ale is also popular.Nice clean venue, live music, and occasional food trucks can be found. You can bring in your own food as well without any issue.Summer, there's a nice patio with cornhole, propane fire tables, and plenty of Adirondack chairs.Seriously, stop in. It's a great place.”

“Pleasantly surprised!! The menu was a little challenging for us to read. Lots of words we didn't recognize and honestly nothing was really jumping out at us for some reason. But then we started to see some food walking by to other tables (we needed a visual menu lol) and knew it was gonna be good. Ceasar salad was insanely good. Came with smoked blue fish it was the perfect meal. Fantastic clam chowder. Homemade bread. Everything was homemade or local and you could tell they take great pride in everything they make and serve, including an espresso martini made with so much love. I now trust anything they want to make, I don't even need a menu, I know it will be great. @amp_eats (instagram and Facebook)”

I'm curious to know how they are. There's a lot going on, on the walls but you can tell that it all holds a story and some history to go with the rest of the restaurant.”

“You can't go wrong with either out for dinner or out for a good time and listen to a live band. The food is above the rest. The service is second to none. The bands are all talented and diverse. The only objective is the bright lighting during dinner. Otherwise, you'll find that you will be back soon for more. Friendly people wall to wall. Reasonably priced menu, with many drink and food specials. Awesome time always. Delicious ?Parking: If you have to park a block away... it's soo worth the walk !!!”

“One of the best places to eat in Bristol.Update: We've ordered here so many times now, and Tong Phoon is still, hands down, the BEST place to eat in Bristol! We have only gotten takeout, maybe one day we will dine in. I am OBSESSED with the phoon garlic and he is addicted to the pad Thai. These dishes are out of this world good and actually authentic. The coconut rice is divine. We've got other items as well, but those are our go-tos. This place should have 5 stars!!”

“Boisterous atmosphere. Full bar. Fine wine list. Very fresh shellfish and a limited menu of notably tasty small and large plates. Based on our single experience at the Bristol Oyster Bar, its wait staff is attentive, responsive, able to explain its "Oyster Madness" tasting offer coherently, and willing to retrieve information about culinary methods from the chef when asked. The oysters are wonderfully fresh (and, as you would expect in Bristol, the littlenecks taste as though they are right out of Narragansett Bay. Maybe they are.). The grilled octopus small plate is memorably tender. The cod loin is deliciously firm. If the rest of the menu is cooked with equal skill, the Bristol Oyster Bar qualifies as a small culinary gem. For what it is, this oyster bar is about as good as it gets. It's worth finding your way to it even in the dark, which is sadly not intuitive. On a dank, foggy night It may not be obvious to anyone how to enter the restaurant, not easy for the fit , and a challenge for the feeble. Make a reservation and plan to park in the back of the building -- a left off Court Street.”
