“Such a delicious little restaurant! I’m vegan, dined at Foglia with my carnivorous husband and we both loved it. The food is fresh and delicious and has multiple layers of flavor. It was such a treat. After our meal, Chef Pete came out to talk with us about our meal. Will definitely return.”

“First off, the star of the evening was our server Michelle! She’s a gem! It was our only restaurant during our vacation where service staff made us feel like they were truly welcoming us in and wanted us to have a great experience vs just going through the motions. Everyone had a genuine smile and seemed to love their jobs. The food and decor was just as fabulous. It really felt like a French bistro. The carrots were our favorite dish (recommended by Michelle) and the flourless chocolate torte was a close second. I don’t know how they got the skin so crispy on the chicken but I’ll be dreaming about it.”

Super fast and absolutely scrumptious. This is our go to for breakfast weekly. So happy to have found it and always look forward to going again!!”

“I had a birthday celebration at this restaurant. We sat near the cozy fireplace on a chilly night. The cheeseboard (varied cheeses, focaccia bread, honey, blackberries, nuts, jam, greens) and Pt. Judith calamari were beautifully presented. Excellent bottle of Pinot Grigio from Tuscany, Italy added to food, Staff was very accomodating. I enjoyed mussels, scallops, little necks over pasta in scampi sauce. Others had the salmon as well as the bolognese. It's a very roomy, quiet setting near the water. Staff came out to sing happy birthday with a luscious ice cream dessert with a candle on top. I was pleasantly surprised. We will return to this place for sure!”

“I work at a Bodyshop in Bristol drive by every morning today 4 of us stopped in for lunch..place was busy. Don't mess around know what u want to eat the place is fast paced and blue collar guys need to get in and out quick. I got the meatloaf,side of potatos and the cold rotinni mac salad , and cranberry sauce ...let me tell u that's enough for 2 people at 17$..This will be a lunch spot for us...today he had Ribs, chicken wings, full chickens , lasagna,meatloaf options were endless...they have a couple tables , sodas and juices, all he needs is a glass of wine or cold beer and it's a wrap. I wish I took a pic I'll post it later”

“It was one of the most relaxed dining experiences ever. The tables are about two feet away from each other-we all had room. We didn't have to hear other people talk. Our servers didn't have to play Tetris. It was July 3rd and the place was relaxed. Everyone was smiling. We got to eat some of the best French food I have ever had (I am a picky and non adventurous eater) ever. The Coq au Vin, Mediterranean chicken and steak frites were out of this world. Vermont Butter. I cannot tell you how much that made my cold dead heart feel nostalgic and joy and somehow understood. The wine was really reasonable priced as well and I feel that the restaurant chef or owner cares more for the diners than making money because quality of ingredients was stellar too.”

I go whenever I get the chance, which isn't too often, but when the time comes, it's always a great experience. From the husband and wife who do an amazing job, to the food, this place is a diamond in the rough. With all of the lower quality pizza places around, we need more places like nellos to give us what we all deserve, Top notch and delicious food ❤️”

Set-up was easy, the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, and the food was excellent. A special shout-out to Caroline, who was wonderful to work with and made the entire process seamless and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue and would highly recommend Portside Tavern for any private event. We’ll absolutely be back!”
