“We just came by boat with two little kids not realizing the new fall hours. The employee working saw them peaking into the window and was so kind bringing them each out doughboy donuts. It was such a generous and thoughtful gesture that truly made these two little kids day! We look forward to coming again in the spring (during hours your open)”

“We had a great birthday experience aboard the train & plan on returning many times. We chose The Spruce Car, (as opposed to the murder mystery) which is aptly named, as it's filled with rich, warm woods. The cozy lighting & up-scale, but not pretentious, decor created the perfect ambiance for a romantic birthday. Dinner service was nothing short of wonderful. Our server, Maddie, was friendly, beautiful, and attentive. Both of our dinners were delicious and the cocktails were perfect. More locals should enjoy the Bellevue Grand. It's worth every penny.”

“I have had breakfast here w/ a group of HS graduate friends on numerous occasions.. The food was always good, and in spite of the variations ordered, delicious, hot, and served all at the same time. Waitresses were always pleasant, polite and good humored. (Image the ribbing they took from 6 to 10 older men! Friday, 3/15/24 ,my wife, my sister, my nephew and I had the dinner special for 2. Each :Cup of Chowder, 2 Clam Cakes, Fries, and Fish. EXCELLENT in every sense of the word and good portions! ( I also managed to consume a HUGE Strawberry Shortcake! ) I cannot praise enough the quality of the meal, service, and reasonable price. You owe yourself a trip and meal at this”

“Stopped by on our way out of Portsmouth. We wanted a cup of coffee and ice cream. Both were great. People were friendly and the store had a great atmosphere. After getting our iced coffee and ice cream for the kids we went around back where there were some nice benches and shaded areas to sit.

Parking was easy to get in and out of again. If we want ice cream and coffee we will make the little extra trip outside of Middletown to stop here.”

“My go-to order in most places would be a Reuben. The quality of the meat, bread and the balance with the sauerkraut, sauce & cheese say a lot about how the restaurant approaches their food. The 02878 is the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Now I will have to find another go-to for other restaurants because they will pale in comparison to Localz 02878.”

“Nice location. The restaurant is very clean, bright, great views. The food was average, portions are on the smaller side. I got the baked stuffed shrimp, it came with only four med size shrimp, very little stuffing, a small sweet potato and undercooked green beans. I usually cannot finish my meal, and I left hungry. I would give it another chance if in the area, but wouldn’t go out of my way.”

“I can only speak for the clam cakes which I found to be very good. They were a little small so they gave me extra. I have gone twice recently and both times they were out of stuffies. This is just after noon both times so you wouldn't expect that. The wait for the clam cakes was rather long too considering it takes five minutes to fry them. I will give them another try though.”

“I visited the Portsmouth location for the second time this morning and this is a perfect first date spot imo. The large wraparound deck is so cute & cozy, like a farmhouse porch. & the coffee 🤩 I had a tiramisu latte last time, a cherry Garcia latte this time- I was not disappointed either time, the flavors were accurate without being overwhelming or weakening the espresso, & oh so delicious. The food is even better; the attention to detail & balance of flavor in the dishes is off the charts. I recommend the avocado toast or whipped feta plate, and if you’re not into coffee, their teas and lemonades are just as amazing.”

“I stop by quite frequently, and the staff are amazing. My only complaint about this location is that they often seem to have only two people working during busy rushes, which makes the wait times much longer. That's not the staff's fault...I think they should hire more people.

The afternoon ladies are always the best and manage to get everything right despite being so busy. I'll definitely keep coming back despite the wait time as this is the best dunkin on the island.”
