We chose The Spruce Car, (as opposed to the murder mystery) which is aptly named, as it's filled with rich, warm woods. The cozy lighting & up-scale, but not pretentious, decor created the perfect ambiance for a romantic birthday. Dinner service was nothing short of wonderful. Our server, Maddie, was friendly, beautiful, and attentive. Both of our dinners were delicious and the cocktails were perfect. More locals should enjoy the Bellevue Grand. It's worth every penny.“

“My go-to order in most places would be a Reuben. The quality of the meat, bread and the balance with the sauerkraut, sauce & cheese say a lot about how the restaurant approaches their food. The 02878 is the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Now I will have to find another go-to for other restaurants because they will pale in comparison to Localz 02878.“

The street corn ravioli was out of this world. I also tried the peach & prosciutto bruschetta which was savory & sweet and just sooo good. I kept seeing this Bloody Mary type of cocktail going out so I had to order one. This drink was AMAZING. It was called “Caprese my name” which consisted of vodka, basil, tomato and get this…pasta water! Serve in a martini glass with a little mozzarella ball garnish. The most delicious drink I’ve ever had. This place is amazing and I highly recommend it if you’re in town!!!“

“I wanted to come back and leave a review for this unique and cozy restaurant. Me and my husband dropped in and honestly had one of the best dinners we've ever had. The vibe of this restaurant in general is great. It's quiet, cozy dimly lit Aunt. I couldn't stop staring and everything. The food was amazing and tasty. I had the Mozambique mac and cheese which was suggested by our lovely pleasant waitress. It was so tasty, one of the better dishes I've had in years. The chicken wings, are the best chicken wings I've ever had. They were the Sriracha honey wings, crispy and incredibly juicy and tender. We also had the deconstructed s'mores dessert which was so good and I'm not a huge dessert person and even I was amazed by this. We would definitely come back again and I highly recommend you come here for dinner.“

“Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! “We sat at the bar due to being unable to get a reservation and had a great time. The espresso martinis are incredible and I highly recommend trying the wild mushroom garganelli. Only complaint would be that the entire restaurant is incredibly crowded but it is a popular spot for a reason!“

“Haven't been in a few years and my son wanted something different for dinner. We landed on Hometown as it's right near our house. We got a few items as we wanted to give it all a try (again it's been a few years since we'd been in). The appetizers were all decent enough - Portuguese calamari, pretzels with beer cheese and the honey butter biscuit shrimp (these looked the most boring - and were hands down our favorite). For meals, we got the chorizo and pepper grinder, pulled pork nachos and the shrimp mozambique. Mostly all were decent enough. Nothing special - but good and filled us up for sure. My only issue was the mozambique. It was all vinegar. Not something I was used to in a mozambique at all. When it got to the table it smelled like any other I've had. But when I went to eat the sauce and rice, it was pungent. I like vinegar - so I powered through. But it was tough even for me, so be warned! I did ask the waitress if it was normal (I assumed they maybe had mistakenly added vinegar in place of another ingredient). She said that it was very dependant on chef in the kitchen as they can be very heavy handed depending on who it is. I do want to say that our waitress was great. Everyone working was extremely hospitable. And the overall experience was fine. It just threw me off by the extreme flavor of the one dish, as I've never come across one like it in the past. For 24$ I just want to give a heads up to someone else who may want to try that dish when they're there.“

“Absolutely great food and service. Dined last Saturday evening with two of our teen and preteen grandchildren. All of us enjoyed our meals and the service was on point. This next point deserves mentioning as it speaks to the culture of the establishment: When my granddaughter became ill (NOT food related), the manager came over immediately to help comfort her… she brought hot tea and took her to more private quarters to relax until her discomfort passed. We were impressed and remain grateful for the compassion and level of care exhibited. We will continue to visit again and again in the future. Many thanks!!!“

She helped create a pleasant environment in which we enjoyed an excellent dinner. It was great that the heating units in the ceiling area were in operation as it was a chilly and overcast time that we were at the open area of the restaurant.“
