“I visited about a week ago to grab food quickly before boarding my cruise. I was in a hurry because the cruise boarded soon, and I let them know. Despite being a bit short-staffed, they were very understanding and got me my food very quickly. Also, the fries are delicious! Thank you for being so patient and understanding.“

Family was too tight to get chowder somewhere local so we ‘settled’ for the airport. It was excellent! Generous portion. With super tasty seasoned oyster crackers. And plenty of good beers on tap. Very pleasantly surprised.“

“Location/decor/ambiance: the owners have tried to turn the spacious brick and beam interior of a former factory building into a ghetto-ish inner cityscape skateboard park using graffiti-style airbrush graphics, little skateboards that serve as bar chair seat backs, concrete floors painted with Providence manhole covers, etc. Visually, the effect is mixed. I “get” what the owners are trying for, but it isn’t for me an “attractive” dining decor. It looks much more like a dance club for young twenty-somethings. I quickly adjusted to the inner-city grunge decor, but what we couldn’t adjust to was the VERY loud rap/hip-hop music blaring out of some very robust speakers non-stop. Talking was difficult. Yes, I’m an older person, but I don’t begrudge anyone their musical sensibilities… provide its not full of “***** and “nigga” and roaring out at at least 90 decibels. Whatever they’re trying to be, they need to remember that they are l (at 10 am) a restaurant, not a dance club. Food & service: unexpectedly, given the above criticism, the food was outstanding, I mean really good. Caught us off guard. Just beautifully imagined and realized. Would I return? Probably not. Even the great food cant quite overcome the soundscape. Interesting place, though“

“Tiffany and Charlie are the absolute sweetest! We were out of town visiting family and The Brook and The Loom were the perfect escape. I think we found our new favorite hotel to retreat to when we’re visiting Rhode Island. ☺“

“Absolutely blown away by Kind Spirits! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. Everyone was so welcoming, and it was clear that the owners are incredibly passionate about what they've created.

The decor is stunning. I loved all of the repurposed and vintage pieces, and every detail feels intentional. It's one of those places where you can't help but look around and admire the space.

The food, drinks and atmosphere were just as impressive. Everything was fresh, flavorful and thoughtfully prepared. It's refreshing to find a place that delivers on every level.

“We had not been to The Shanty in years, but are so happy we decided to go back. The food was delicious and the service impeccable. Karen was the ultimate professional. The TV dinner was absolutely amazing and my son had the summer pasta, which was fresh and delicious. Maybe the highlight of the night was the Snickerdoodle Ice Cream Sandwich which was easily shared by three. Honestly, I can't wait to go back.“

I could eat them every day of my life (order extra bread to soak up the delicious sauce) thr shrimp is poached well and is the size of a lobster tail. “I came here for taco Tuesday and the food was very good. I wasn't impressed at all with the service. Upon arriving , there was no host to greet even though there was a sign that said wait to be seated. Once the bartender took notice she seated us. Our service was very slow.
We sat outside, where there is plenty of bar and table seating along with indoor seating. I will come again but service needs improvement.“

“I very much enjoyed my experience at OURS. The food was delectable and the drinks were tasteful. I very much enjoyed the wings with the Garlic as well as the Steak Tikka. It was $30 which some might consider pricey, but came with a very large portion of food. It included hummus, nan, rice, a salad and of course the steak, so I’d say it’s fairly priced. Overall I enjoyed the food and will certainly return but next time I’ll try the hookah!“
