We chose The Spruce Car, (as opposed to the murder mystery) which is aptly named, as it's filled with rich, warm woods. The cozy lighting & up-scale, but not pretentious, decor created the perfect ambiance for a romantic birthday. Dinner service was nothing short of wonderful. Our server, Maddie, was friendly, beautiful, and attentive. Both of our dinners were delicious and the cocktails were perfect. More locals should enjoy the Bellevue Grand. It's worth every penny.“

“I visited the Portsmouth location for the second time this morning and this is a perfect first date spot imo. The large wraparound deck is so cute & cozy, like a farmhouse porch. & the coffee 🤩 I had a tiramisu latte last time, a cherry Garcia latte this time- I was not disappointed either time, the flavors were accurate without being overwhelming or weakening the espresso, & oh so delicious. The food is even better; the attention to detail & balance of flavor in the dishes is off the charts. I recommend the avocado toast or whipped feta plate, and if you’re not into coffee, their teas and lemonades are just as amazing.“

“This place is a solid go-to for classic American food done right. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. Fridays are an absolute win because of the $1 raw bar—great quality oysters at that price are hard to beat, and they were super fresh. What really made the experience stand out, though, was our server Mercy. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. You can tell she genuinely cares about great service. Between the food, the Friday raw bar deal, and Mercy’s top-notch service, this spot is definitely worth coming back to.“

“We enjoyed having breakfast at this wonderful place while in Newport, RI. The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣“

“Family run atmosphere with the best service I have experienced in a long time. The restaurant gives off “your mommas home kitchen” vibe with the friendliest, kindest, and caring staff. Our server stayed and talked with us about life and my wife and I (From Florida) felt right at home. The food was amazing! Scrambled eggs were super creamy (I had cheese mixed in with mine), pancakes were cooked to perfection, my wife’s French toast was amazing! The star of the show was the homemade corn beef hash, this is my opinion, is a must try! Will definitely come back every time we are in town! “Just moved to Fall River few months back and was looking for some food and Sam's pizza in Fall River is one of the best if not the best food I've tried. Always respectful, on time, and also they offer delivery. I give them a 10/10. If you haven't tried there food yet, get on over there and see what your missing out on.“

“Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Joe saw us walking to our Airbnb and yelled at us on the street asking when we were headed back home. Joe is a gem of a bartender. He has a gift of gab and can hand out the bs too. The host working around 9pm was not welcoming or friendly, and also sat us at the smallest table in the restaurant. Bethany offered us a larger table, and was always checking in on us. “Food and coffee are phenomenal. Service is SLOW. When the owner isn't there, the place is run by teenage girls. They're nice, but only pay attention to people ordering. Once you pay, you're forgotten. You'll sit and stare at your order on the counter for 10 minutes before you finally have to just ask for it. We love presto and will keep going, but just highly recommend ordering ahead.“
