“We enjoyed having breakfast at this wonderful place while in Newport, RI. The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣“

“If you’re coming to visit Newport and haven’t heard of Jo’s, it’s because it’s a hidden gem! Amazing local farm-to-table options that keep us and those who visit us asking to go back to that one place in Newport, I really loved! The service to guests with one or more allergies was superb! The chef personally came to our table on each visit to discuss what meals were safe to order. I have multiple allergies, so sometimes they would have made me my own off-the-menu special dish. I’ve never gotten sick once, and everyone who goes there with us when they visit always asks to go back on their next trip! ♥️“

“Steph and the team at scratch were SUPERB! Our catering order was perfect (tho we were sad the croissant machine was down) every thing was piping hot (or nice an cool). Everything was SOOO good. Ordering was easy, Steph ensured we had a great variety and enough to feed the post-wedding crowd. We did have breakfast here and it was stellar! Any event you need catered, be sure to check Steph and the team out. You will, NOT be disappointed!“

“Just finished great meal. Huge lobster roll, high quality kids chicken and big beefy kids burger. I had the fish n chips which was amazing! Old Bay fries and what had to be a whole Cod! The best part was Peter N. He was very informative, quick in serving the kids which lets Mom and Dad relax. Such a great day and great meal.“

“We were vacationing in Newport from Wisconsin and stopped in at Cappy’s. Sue the bartender was friendly and a wonderful bartender. The owner Joe, what can I say….what a guy! Joe saw us walking to our Airbnb and yelled at us on the street asking when we were headed back home. Joe is a gem of a bartender. He has a gift of gab and can hand out the bs too. Nice local establishment with friendly customers and bartenders. We had Dan as a bartender too and he was a friendly, great guy! “Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! “Skip the overhyped, long-line coffee shops down the street—Beaucoup is the real gem.

The peach raspberry scone was easily one of the best I’ve ever had: slightly warm, packed with fresh fruit, and literally melted in my mouth. It paired perfectly with their delicious iced vanilla latte. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. I always make it a point to say thank you for service, but it’s a rare treat to get a genuine thank you back for your business. Beaucoup does exactly that. Highly recommend!“

Jasmine green tea was pretty good (7/10) We really liked the decaf coffee (9/10) what a treat. The regular coffee was not noteworthy, but fine. Nitro’s is much better. Great breakfast sandwich, grab and go ready!“

“I visited the Portsmouth location for the second time this morning and this is a perfect first date spot imo. The large wraparound deck is so cute & cozy, like a farmhouse porch. & the coffee 🤩 I had a tiramisu latte last time, a cherry Garcia latte this time- I was not disappointed either time, the flavors were accurate without being overwhelming or weakening the espresso, & oh so delicious. The food is even better; the attention to detail & balance of flavor in the dishes is off the charts. I recommend the avocado toast or whipped feta plate, and if you’re not into coffee, their teas and lemonades are just as amazing.“

“We hosted a laid-back wedding celebration at Newport Craft and had a great experience overall. The venue is modern, spacious, and perfect for a relaxed gathering, and the drinks were delicious.

Jim, the new general manager, was responsive and attentive throughout the planning process. He made us feel well taken care of and was great to work with leading up to the event.

The only reason we aren’t giving five stars is that Newport Craft experienced some staff turnover during the year we were planning, and we only learned about the changes when we reached out rather than being proactively notified. That created a little uncertainty along the way. However, it seems like they are actively working toward becoming a more established event space, and with Jim helping lead the way, they appear to be in good hands.“

“I was visiting Newport and decided to stop by your shop with a friend to get ice cream around 4pm on August 31st when we pointed out to the young guy making the order that he gave me the wrong cone. Our varsity team was playing nearby at St. George’s Arena, and she was incredibly friendly, professional, and responsive while taking our order. We placed a very large order, and everything was handled perfectly. The food was delivered exactly at the time we requested, and every item was clearly labeled just as we asked, which was especially important because of food allergies on the team. That level of care and attention really meant a lot to us. We would absolutely call Nikolas Pizza again when we’re in the area and highly recommend them—especially if you’re working with a big group. Excellent service all around!“

“Absolutely great food and service. Dined last Saturday evening with two of our teen and preteen grandchildren. All of us enjoyed our meals and the service was on point. This next point deserves mentioning as it speaks to the culture of the establishment: When my granddaughter became ill (NOT food related), the manager came over immediately to help comfort her… she brought hot tea and took her to more private quarters to relax until her discomfort passed. We were impressed and remain grateful for the compassion and level of care exhibited. We will continue to visit again and again in the future. Many thanks!!!“

“Dined at one of the igloos they have set up on the wharf and it was beautiful and cozy inside with lovely views of the Newport Bridge. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for celebrating a winter night. “We have joined our family members here for the last 3 years and have been very happy with the accommodations at the Clubhouse where it was held.
We did not stay overnight, but the suites are nicely furnished and decorated. There is plenty of space in the 3 bedroom suites.“
