The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣“

Amazing local farm-to-table options that keep us and those who visit us asking to go back to that one place in Newport, I really loved! The service to guests with one or more allergies was superb! The chef personally came to our table on each visit to discuss what meals were safe to order. I have multiple allergies, so sometimes they would have made me my own off-the-menu special dish. “We just enjoyed a late lunch that was absolutely delicious! The lobster bisque was a great starter but the lobster Mac and cheese was the BEST we’ve ever had. Giant chunks of lobster were buried amongst the creamy noodles. We shared the lobster dish and it was plenty. \nThe fresh cod/ Fish-n-chips was also excellent, flaky light white fish. We waited 45 mins for our table, while sipping hot spiced cider - the food was well worth the wait.“

Our waitress was engaging, personable, and even took the time to share some Rhode Island folklore with us, which made the evening feel extra special. We’re visiting from Long Island and touring URI, and this was easily one of the highlights of our trip. The cod and sole were beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. The food and drinks were delicious, and they were very accommodating to changes to ingredients of dishes. My only criticism was the size vs price of my main dish. I got a vegetarian bowl with no added proteins, which I thought was priced too high for the serving size (more like an appetizer amount). But that being said, as above, it was delicious!“
