Absolutely delectable! Every single thing was perfect from the bread & tasty olive oil, to the main meal. Service was excellent. Atmosphere is comfortable & homey. Perfect from start to finish, nice staff & absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!

We accidentally mixed up Mamma Luisa Italian Restaurant with another in Newport RI when I was making reservations on open table. I’m so happy that I made the mistake as Mamma Luisa is a 1000 times better than the other restaurant. The food was delicious. Service was excellent. It feels like real Italian instead of Americanized Italian. We will definitely be returning next year on our yearly vacation

The stuffed veal special, tuna puttanesca, pasta with seafood, and piccatina di vetello were also excellent. Desserts were great. Mamma Luisa Ristorante Italiano is considered the best Italian restaurant in Newport, offering a consistently excellent dining experience.
