“As a vegan who loves the ocean, dining near the coast is usually a frustrating routine: settling for a basic green salad and french fries that taste like they were fried in the same oil as the seafood (because they were.)
This spot is a game-changer! Plenty of seafood options for the usual patrons, and the menu is clearly labeled with dairy-free and gluten-free options as well. They also offer a dedicated vegan dish that's NOT the usual veggie burger or pasta marinara. The Cold Soba Noodle Bowl wasn't just an afterthought—it was beautifully made, incredibly tasty, and came in a great portion size.

We have been going since we moved here in 2020, and have taken multiple out-of-state guests who also love it and always ask to go back! If you have multiple food allergies, like gluten, dairy, and nuts, they are also great at accommodating! I haven’t gotten sick once yet! It was also the first restaurant our August newborn went to in 2022; his current favorite is fried shrimp and fries! Highly recommend Jimmy’s for the food, the iconic Block Island ferry atmosphere, and the hardworking, loving family who are wicked friendly when they aren’t immensely busy. We will be there next month for the first time this year! 🥳“

My wife had the rib eye melt which was equally as delicious, and my daughter loved her Mac & cheese and green beans. I started with white chowder which is typically good no matter where you get it in New England, but there’s was excellent. As good as the food was, it was the service from Alexa that made it so memorable. She was friendly and accommodating like any server would or should be, but she went beyond that making us feel like friends and family. Extra kudos to her for being a superstar. All in all, this was a 10+ dining experience even though the best is 5. Back 40 and their sister restaurants are all the best that RI has to offer.“

“Stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday. We were the only ones there when we arrived. It was a nice day so we sat outside. Really nice view of at least two holes on the golf course so you get food plus entertainment at no extra cost. The course looked beautiful, but the restaurant's outdoor space could use some love. More importantly, the wait staff was attentive, friendly, and excelled at their job. The food was really good as well. The Scotch Egg salad was not only unique, but absolutely delicious. Prices are very reasonable the food is above average and even though it is hard to tell from the outside it has great atmosphere. Live music and nice outside area. With a huge fire pit.

Eaten here numerous times and never had a bad meal.

“I used to live in Charlestown and went there often when they were at their former location. I have been to their current location a few times but it has been a very long time. The pizza is not as good as I remember it being but it wasn't the worst I've ever had.“
