“Dan's is the kind of place I really like - it's close to home! I've been there many times, and ordered take out many times, and I've never been let down! It's our go-to place to take out-of-town guests when we have company, because we know that no matter where they're from, they will be impressed at Dan's - usually by the food. I've heard a rumor that they're taking over the Tavern on the Hill (less than a mile from home) I can hardly wait! Keep doing what you do Dan, it's working for ya!“

But, lo and behold, my beautiful wife and I stopped in this weekend and, sure enough, what’s on the specials menu? Clam cakes, chowder and stuffies!!! Yup, right out there in the boonies. I gotta tell ya, we live at Dan’s Place, and the same dude just bought this place, so we had faith the food would excel, and it did. We consider ourselves kinda expert on clam cakes, and both of us agreed that Chef David makes THE BEST!! And the neat thing is, the tab was more than reasonable and it’s only 10 minutes off 95! Kudos to Dan, Chef David and the friendly bartenders. Cool joint!!“

“I went here for a baby shower which was held in the private dining area off to the right. The food and service was amazing and the atmosphere was warm and cozy with a trendy vibe. The sweet potato dumplings and berry waffles were out of this world. I loved the different options of food for brunch they served versus the standard breakfast and pastry items. The restaurant served everything family style and it seemed like the food would not stop coming.“

“Stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday. We were the only ones there when we arrived. It was a nice day so we sat outside. Really nice view of at least two holes on the golf course so you get food plus entertainment at no extra cost. The course looked beautiful, but the restaurant's outdoor space could use some love. More importantly, the wait staff was attentive, friendly, and excelled at their job. The food was really good as well. The Scotch Egg salad was not only unique, but absolutely delicious. We'll be back.“

“We’ve ordered delivery from here three times now, we live pretty close by. Each time the food comes pretty quickly and is very hot and fresh. Some of the best crispy chicken wings I’ve ever tried. Excellent beef teriyaki, good crab rangoon, and I’ve gotten the beef with garlic sauce twice now because it was so good. Portions are pretty big as well!“

The alcohol drinks were very generous. The appetizers which were mostly seafood was perfectly cooked and prepared. Our meals came out hot and well prepared and cooked amazing job not one screwups even though it would have been understandable because of our number. The owner and his lovely wife came to the table several times to see if everything was ok and if they could do anything to make us comfortable. They even treated us wit a few appetizers. “The Chinese food if you order the authentic side of the menu is excellent. The baby of the ownership couple is super cute and lucky to have parents that are such great cooks. Their takeout menu has lots of coupons and specials, but even without the specials, I’ll be back. Food is cooked quite quickly as some of the restaurants near the campus is completely overwhelmed with sometimes 1.5 - 2 hour waits. This is my go-to near Rhode Island University.
