Based on the reviews, Tavern on III is a friendly, local bar and grill with lots of character. The staff is friendly, nice, and attentive. The food is excellent, with an immense selection. Specific meals mentioned include potatoe skins, cheeseburger, cheeseburger club, steak dinner, tavern chicken, and eggplant parm. The tavern chicken was one of the best pasta dishes, with a lightly spicy sauce and perfectly cooked chicken and eggplant. The rye bread was fantastic. The drinks are very generous and priced right; the chocolate martini was excellent. There is often great music, including bands like Amber Rose and the Earl Knightwood Band. It is a good, inexpensive, hearty food place with cold beer. It is nothing fancy but a good local place that is very welcoming. There is plenty of parking and no cover charge.
