My husband and I had dinner here during our recent stay in Newport. We both picked to go here based on the pictures and menu we reviewed online.We enjoyed the unique atmosphere and had a great server.The only disappointment was that they were out of two menu items, one of them being the meal we chose this restaurant to try (the glass noodles). Luckily the meals we did end up having were both enjoyable.Worth a visit when in Newport!
I walk pass The Parlor regularly and had never gone in. I was pleasantly surprised! The bartender was quick and very attentive. The person I was with never had to ask for a refill. The bartender knew when another drink was needed and brought it without needing to ask. AWESOME!I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because after 10 pm even on a Monday night, the bar crowd could get loud to where I wanted to move tables. There is one gluten-free beer option. Wonderful. Great experience for my group of 8. We enjoyed having a pre-dinner cocktail at the bar with a seamless transition to our round dining table (love round tables!) which worked so well for keeping the conversation flowing over a beautiful dinner.
