Came here for Mother’s Day and our table came complete with a picture of my family in a frame. What a nice touch! The food was delicious and our waitress was perfect. She knew exactly what we were going to need having two kids under 4 with us. This is my favorite place in Newport and they hit the mark yet again.
Stopped in for a quick lunch and we were not disappointed. The service was good and our server was knowledge. We had the stuffies (great) to start then ahi tacos (good) and baked oysters (also great!). They even had a large local draft beer selection.
Was told by one of the guys on the sailing cruise this was a great place to eat. We enjoyed our meal.

The restaurant has a lovely roof deck with fresh eucalyptus and a live band on Saturdays, making it an ideal place for a fun night out. Many customers find the food to be very fresh and of high quality, often preferred over other local spots. Visitors enjoy dishes like Charred octopus, wicked shrimp, lobster roll, and truffled fries, which are exceptional and full of flavor. The upper outdoor patio is beautiful and cool with a cross breeze, providing a pleasant dining experience. While service can sometimes be a bit spotty, overall, it is an enjoyable place for families and seafood lovers. Reasonable parking is available nearby. The seafood is as fresh as it gets, and the oysters are some of the best you’ll find anywhere, making Midtown Oyster Bar a must-visit.
