“We enjoyed having breakfast at this wonderful place while in Newport, RI. The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣“

Amazing local farm-to-table options that keep us and those who visit us asking to go back to that one place in Newport, I really loved! The service to guests with one or more allergies was superb! The chef personally came to our table on each visit to discuss what meals were safe to order. I have multiple allergies, so sometimes they would have made me my own off-the-menu special dish. “Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! “We were vacationing in Newport from Wisconsin and stopped in at Cappy’s. Sue the bartender was friendly and a wonderful bartender. The owner Joe, what can I say….what a guy! Joe saw us walking to our Airbnb and yelled at us on the street asking when we were headed back home. Joe is a gem of a bartender. He has a gift of gab and can hand out the bs too. Nice local establishment with friendly customers and bartenders. We had Dan as a bartender too and he was a friendly, great guy! “Love love love it here! We came to Beaucoup for the first time a few weeks ago and fell in love with it immediately!!! The moment you walk into the door, you enter a cute coffee shop that has a “gourmet” vibe to it. There’s about ten tables which leaves plenty of room to dine in and enjoy all of their treats! In the last three weeks we’ve came three times and plan to make this a weekly stop!

Their menu is priced like any other coffee shop so it’s pretty on par with everything else in Newport. 7-10$ for custom coffee and 12+ for food. We typically get a Hangover Helper Sandwich with Kielbasa and it never disappoints !!! The coffee menu is seasonal and they always offer something new! We had some sort of Strawberry Shortcake iced coffee and a Blueberry Pancake hot coffee! Honestly, they both were great but the pancake was 10/10, stunning.

The staff is also great. Their GM welcomed us back and is always really sweet. In fact, all of their staff is really sweet and works super hard to keep everything running. I cannot recommend this place enough and we will continue to come back!“

“What a fantastic dining experience my family had tonight. Cocktails were superb, my rare tuna tacos were not only the best tacos I’ve ever eaten, it was one of the top 3 meals I’ve ever had. My wife had the rib eye melt which was equally as delicious, and my daughter loved her Mac & cheese and green beans. I started with white chowder which is typically good no matter where you get it in New England, but there’s was excellent. As good as the food was, it was the service from Alexa that made it so memorable. She was friendly and accommodating like any server would or should be, but she went beyond that making us feel like friends and family. Extra kudos to her for being a superstar. All in all, this was a 10+ dining experience even though the best is 5. Back 40 and their sister restaurants are all the best that RI has to offer.“

Jasmine green tea was pretty good (7/10) We really liked the decaf coffee (9/10) what a treat. The regular coffee was not noteworthy, but fine. Nitro’s is much better. Great breakfast sandwich, grab and go ready!“
