“I was there last night and it was packed! The food was excellent and our server, Rowan was amazing. You could tell he was hustling but was always on top of things and never appeared overwhelmed. He was so kind and friendly. He gave us the right amount of attention. He was very attentive. We didn't feel rushed and we never felt as though we were waiting too long either. Very patient when we couldn't decide between all of the delicious sounding choices. Can't wait to go back!“

“The food was very good. I got a slice of cheese pizza and a monster energy drink and they were very yummy. The pizza was a pretty big slice but not too big and was burnt but like in a good way yk? Like perfectly crispy. And the monster was good too. Plus the pizza wasn’t too hot or too cold, very good!!! It wasn’t too expensive either. The thing is tho the food took a lowkey rlly long time to come out and there was weird white drippy cheese drizzled on the pizza that I didn’t ask for. I had to peel it off w a napkin. But the ppl were nice so it was a good experience :3“

“We enjoyed having breakfast at this wonderful place while in Newport, RI. The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣“

“I have been to many asian food restaurants as I traveled in Asia and especially China, Jayd Bun is by far one of the best asian food experiences I have had over the years. The food was absolutely amazing. The flavors combined with spices and the noodles were incredible. So if you enjoy a spicy asian food, Jayd Bun is the place to get it. It’s a take out order but taking advantage of the suggestions of getting this takeout food to a few local places where you can drink and enjoy Jayd Bun food. Our favorite food were the Yo Po, Jayd Noodles and of course the buns.“

“Cru Café is an excellent spot in Newport. Even when it’s busy, the line moves quickly and service is friendly and efficient. The staff is cheerful, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the food is fresh, fast, and absolutely delicious. A great place worth visiting!“

“Steph and the team at scratch were SUPERB! Our catering order was perfect (tho we were sad the croissant machine was down) every thing was piping hot (or nice an cool). Everything was SOOO good. Ordering was easy, Steph ensured we had a great variety and enough to feed the post-wedding crowd. We did have breakfast here and it was stellar! Any event you need catered, be sure to check Steph and the team out. You will, NOT be disappointed!“

“If you’re coming to visit Newport and haven’t heard of Jo’s, it’s because it’s a hidden gem! Amazing local farm-to-table options that keep us and those who visit us asking to go back to that one place in Newport, I really loved! The service to guests with one or more allergies was superb! The chef personally came to our table on each visit to discuss what meals were safe to order. I have multiple allergies, so sometimes they would have made me my own off-the-menu special dish. I’ve never gotten sick once, and everyone who goes there with us when they visit always asks to go back on their next trip! ♥️“

“We were vacationing in Newport from Wisconsin and stopped in at Cappy’s. Sue the bartender was friendly and a wonderful bartender. The owner Joe, what can I say….what a guy! Joe saw us walking to our Airbnb and yelled at us on the street asking when we were headed back home. Joe is a gem of a bartender. He has a gift of gab and can hand out the bs too. Nice local establishment with friendly customers and bartenders. We had Dan as a bartender too and he was a friendly, great guy! “Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation. Basil, You weren’t there, but your food is delicious. You get the Merit Badge! You weren’t there, but your staff is spectacular! You get the Merit Badge! We wish you continued success! “Just finished great meal. Huge lobster roll, high quality kids chicken and big beefy kids burger. I had the fish n chips which was amazing! Old Bay fries and what had to be a whole Cod! The best part was Peter N. He was very informative, quick in serving the kids which lets Mom and Dad relax. Such a great day and great meal.“

“Skip the overhyped, long-line coffee shops down the street—Beaucoup is the real gem.

The peach raspberry scone was easily one of the best I’ve ever had: slightly warm, packed with fresh fruit, and literally melted in my mouth. It paired perfectly with their delicious iced vanilla latte. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. I always make it a point to say thank you for service, but it’s a rare treat to get a genuine thank you back for your business. Beaucoup does exactly that. Highly recommend!“

“What a fantastic dining experience my family had tonight. Cocktails were superb, my rare tuna tacos were not only the best tacos I’ve ever eaten, it was one of the top 3 meals I’ve ever had. My wife had the rib eye melt which was equally as delicious, and my daughter loved her Mac & cheese and green beans. I started with white chowder which is typically good no matter where you get it in New England, but there’s was excellent. As good as the food was, it was the service from Alexa that made it so memorable. She was friendly and accommodating like any server would or should be, but she went beyond that making us feel like friends and family. Extra kudos to her for being a superstar. All in all, this was a 10+ dining experience even though the best is 5. Back 40 and their sister restaurants are all the best that RI has to offer.“

“Lovely outdoor ambiance, we sat on the corner outside and watched the town wake up. Subtle queer vibes before 8am. Then the line got long. Jasmine green tea was pretty good (7/10) We really liked the decaf coffee (9/10) what a treat. The regular coffee was not noteworthy, but fine. Nitro’s is much better. Great breakfast sandwich, grab and go ready!“
