“I decided to treat myself and come on a little solo vacation. This is such an accommodating warm spot. Evan and the whole staff treated me with such kindness as I was dining by myself in the busy summer season the mussels were amazing ! The lobster bisque is not to be missed and the local Winery three thieves was delicious. I recommend this place highly !“

“We enjoyed having breakfast at this wonderful place while in Newport, RI. The people who own it and those who work there are AMAZING, friendly, and take the time to talk to customers while keeping service at the top of their list. They (from the kitchen to the front door) look like they love working there and have created a loving family environment. Of course, the line was out the door and down the street, but that was okay because everyone enjoyed visiting each other. There is just one warning, the portions are enormous. You know when my husband can't finish it, it's a lot. 🤣“

“Just moved to Fall River few months back and was looking for some food and Sam's pizza in Fall River is one of the best if not the best food I've tried. Always respectful, on time, and also they offer delivery. I give them a 10/10. If you haven't tried there food yet, get on over there and see what your missing out on.“

“Root in Newport — Newport’s only fully vegan spot, and everything feels so fresh. It’s such a cute, cozy little place with a couple of outdoor tables right on the sidewalk, so our pup could join us. We intentionally ate light since we had dinner at Foglia later. I got the Just Egg Violife cheese on an English muffin. It was tasty and well prepared, but not especially unique. I’m wondering if they’d add some of their coconut bacon from the BLT to the breakfast sandwich next time to take it up a level! Hubby got the avocado toast, which was creamy and bright with pickled onion — really tasty. They also have more unique options like the chickpea salad sandwich and coconut bacon BLT that I’d love to try next time when we’re not trying to keep things light. Afterward, we headed to Fort Adams, which is pup-friendly, and finished with some Del’s watermelon. Such a fun Newport day!“

Amazing local farm-to-table options that keep us and those who visit us asking to go back to that one place in Newport, I really loved! The service to guests with one or more allergies was superb! The chef personally came to our table on each visit to discuss what meals were safe to order. I have multiple allergies, so sometimes they would have made me my own off-the-menu special dish. I’ve never gotten sick once, and everyone who goes there with us when they visit always asks to go back on their next trip! ♥️“

“I wanted to come back and leave a review for this unique and cozy restaurant. Me and my husband dropped in and honestly had one of the best dinners we've ever had. The vibe of this restaurant in general is great. It's quiet, cozy dimly lit Aunt. I couldn't stop staring and everything. The food was amazing and tasty. I had the Mozambique mac and cheese which was suggested by our lovely pleasant waitress. It was so tasty, one of the better dishes I've had in years. The chicken wings, are the best chicken wings I've ever had. They were the Sriracha honey wings, crispy and incredibly juicy and tender. We also had the deconstructed s'mores dessert which was so good and I'm not a huge dessert person and even I was amazed by this. We would definitely come back again and I highly recommend you come here for dinner.“

“Steph and the team at scratch were SUPERB! Our catering order was perfect (tho we were sad the croissant machine was down) every thing was piping hot (or nice an cool). Everything was SOOO good. Ordering was easy, Steph ensured we had a great variety and enough to feed the post-wedding crowd. We did have breakfast here and it was stellar! “We were vacationing in Newport from Wisconsin and stopped in at Cappy’s. Sue the bartender was friendly and a wonderful bartender. The owner Joe, what can I say….what a guy! Joe saw us walking to our Airbnb and yelled at us on the street asking when we were headed back home. Joe is a gem of a bartender. He has a gift of gab and can hand out the bs too. Nice local establishment with friendly customers and bartenders. We had Dan as a bartender too and he was a friendly, great guy! “Just finished great meal. Huge lobster roll, high quality kids chicken and big beefy kids burger. I had the fish n chips which was amazing! Old Bay fries and what had to be a whole Cod! “Today we made a pilgrimage to Basil Yu’s restaurant, Yagi Noodles. My son happened to see that Basil had become a successful restaurateur while he was watching one of Guy Fieri’s shows. We had become acquainted with Basil when we were all involved with a Boy Scout Troop in Manchester NH. We were disappointed to discover that Basil wasn’t at the restaurant, however we got over it when we found out it was due to a commitment to a fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation.
