Expect a line if you come during peak hours (after school time, weekends, or after dinner time). However the line moves quickly and it's absolutely worth the wait!Prices are very reasonable. It is CASH ONLY so be sure to come prepared, or plan to use the ATM outside. There are a few seats outside but otherwise it is only counter service. Parking can be chaotic but there's a lot outside as well as a lot next door (and you walk over).“

“Not many Starbucks in the Rhode Island and Connecticut areas. Lotsa Dunkin Donuts. Then, we saw these little hole in the wall shops called, Sip ‘n Dip. My curiosity got the best of me. I had to try this mom and pop lookin’ place. We tried the one on the bay, on the way to Colt State Park.Nice warm New England welcome from the young lady who was perspiring in the heat. We ordered a hot coffee and and iced coffee. She recommended the cinnamon twist. We honored her recommendation. It was nice and doughy crispy. Not a fancy place, but good ole service.“

My son has some food allergies, and the young lady went straight to wash her hands, change gloves, and used a different spoon to get his ice cream. “I really enjoyed our experience at Sticks and Cones! We were exploring Newport and were in the mood for ice cream. We came across this place and figured why not try it? There was a little bit of a wait, but we also went in the summer, so it makes sense. The ice cream is well worth the wait! I got an ice cream sundae (with hot fudge and rainbow sprinkles) and my boyfriend got their Black Raspberry Ice Cream on a cone. The ice cream was delicious and the perfect treat on a summer night! The inside of the shop is so cute! It transports you back in time to a classic ice cream shop. If you're headed to Newport, I definitely recommend Sticks and Cones!“
“Ice cream is ok. Service could be better. Ordered a few ice creams and paid for them via cc. Server did not charge for sprinkles on one of the ice creams we asked for when ordering. As a result when we expected sprinkles we were told we weren't charged for one of them. My out of town guest had to pull a few cents out of their purse to pay for the sprinkles. I don't expect anything for free, but if you didn't take order down correctly you should make it right.“

It's because it is nearly pure gum. If you have been looking to increase your gum intake, this is the place to go gum wild.“
“I was here on 08/01/22 picking up a door dash , so while I cannot comment on the quality of the food I am here to leave a rave review of the service I witnessed from the man behind the counter with dark glasses and no name tags he was very busy with pickup and instore orders and looked to be working alone and I witnessed him get treated like garbage by an inpatient disgruntled customer and this man handled it so gracefully and still treated the man with respect and kept it pushing ! “Lunch at the drift Cafe was followed by cravings of dessert and just on the opposite side was Cupcake Charlie's, so it was an easy choice. They had lots of flavors for cupcakes - chocolate, oreo, vanilla, chocolate raspberry, lemon, hostess, etc and as few other items such as cake pops, trifles, and shakes. We got three things to share - a double chocolate cupcake, a lemon cupcake, and a raspberry chocolate trifle. There weren't many seats but we managed to grab a small table with a couple of chairs. We ate the chocolate cupcake right there and it was great. Chocolatey as expected, unexpected chocolate bonus in the center too. Could've been a little less sweet but wasn't over the top either. Even though it was a hot day, the remaining desserts held up on the ride home. We ate the lemon cupcake later that night and the raspberry trifle the next day. The trifle was a little too "jammy" but that lemon cupcake was perfect! Tart and sweet and so good.“

We came in not knowing this was a cash-only establishment despite the clearly visible signs (silly on our part), but she was so nice and understanding about the whole thing that we left to find an ATM and came back. Breakfast/coffee and ice cream don't usually all go together as a business model, yet are some of my favorite things. The ice cream flavors are insane... like I've never seen so many flavors in my life. I opted for a breakfast sandwich and a Frozoffee (couldn't pick between ice cream or coffee, so I split the gap).
