Massive waffle cone, lots of choices of ice cream flavours served by a very friendly young lady. They also sell fudge and covered apples. Definately recommend.

Kilwins Ice Cream - Chocolate - Fudge is a great candy and ice cream spot on Thames street in Newport. The ice cream is delicious, with generous scoop sizes and a variety of flavors like Turtle cheesecake praline and the Newport Mud flavor in shake form. The candy is spectacular, including caramel covered or chocolate covered marshmallows made in the store. The shop is nice, clean, and has a cozy atmosphere. There is a basket of a free sample chocolate, and the line moves quickly. The staff are very friendly, with one pleasant scooper and a jolly, humorous tall man who might be the owner. The place is extremely kid-friendly, with some items suitable for vegetarians, though only two gelati options and no non-dairy options. Prices are expensive, at about $13 per 2 scoops with tax, and considered a little over the top for Newport. Despite this, the experience is always amazing, and customers would definitely recommend it.
