This was a favorite spot because it's a beautiful location and it was a beautiful day. But we had a disappointing lunch today. My Caesar salad was so drenched in dressing it was disgusting. The waitress was kind and had it remade, but it still had too much dressing on it. My mother ordered the steamed clams and they were so chewy she felt like she was chomping on rubber bands. Overcooked? With the tip it was over $80 so quite the disappointment.

I have gone there for over 30 years but will never go back. Who takes reservations for the bar? Not a seat to be had at 5 on a Friday. Every one was reserved at 5 or 6. Took a table in the corner: food was terrible. What restaurant of their long standing ruins a salad by drowning it in dressing and the uses stale bread for the French onion soup. The only good thing was the ",fire cracker" shrimp. ,Then the waitress never came back! Had to track her down at the bar to pay. We could have left out the side door without paying 10 times over. And her answer was "It would have been her fault" Darn right!

Legendary local Bristol restaurant in the famed downtown area on a gorgeous location right on the waterfront. Amazing restaurant experience from the lovely atmosphere with breath taking views of Narragansett Bay, huge menu selection, great seafood options and all great food selections no matter what you choose. Always a great time every dinner at The Lobster Pot, great staff that is pleasant, helpful and always going over the top top to make sure every dining need is met. Highly recommended every time your in Bristol, you won't regret it, can't wait for my next dinner there and enjoy a nice evening, thanks again for the years of great meals and service

Had a Celebration of Life luncheon with a buffet for our loved one with 30 guests. The room and the view of the water were absolutely perfect, the food was outstanding and the service staff was awesome. They put out to-go containers for our guests to take extra food home which wasn't offered by any other restaurant when we were setting this up. And the price was the best we had found. We will most definitely be back!! Thank you so much to Jeff and staff!!

Food was terrible, prices were high, staff was rude and unhelpful. Second rate restaurant and food considering the many years they have been in the area

I booked the Lobster Pot for a private function meal recently for 40 people. The booking process was so easy, even when organising a memorial service from far away. The food was just delicious and the service was impeccable. Thank you so very much for a lovely afternoon! I would definitely recommend The Lobster Pot for a private function.

Fabulous restaurant! Great staff, that feels more like family. We love the food almost as much as the view from the outdoor oceanside dining. Live music on the weekends.

Gay friendly? Maybe not. We were the first in the dining area for dinner. Excited to have the Lobster Pot experience of food ,atmosphere, and incredible service we had heard about. Arrived at 5pm no one in the dining room to welcome us. Almost left when a worker outside said they were open. Once seated the waitress came over and took drink orders, came back and took our order and left. Shortly afterwards another couple came in and were seated. Same waitress came to their table with crackers and the famous spread. My partner stated it looked delicious, wondered how much it was as he hadn’t seen it on the appetizer list. We had been waiting for a while for the food . As other couples and families came in we noticed we were the only ones without crackers and spread and we were the only gay couple as well. Spoke to the hostess who stated it was wrong and said it was the waitress fault. Left feeling a little disappointed in the Lobster Pot experience oh well not going back

A beautiful night spent at the Lobster Pot this evening for a birthday dinner!! Camilla you are the queen of amazing service. From the escargot, salmon, and raw oysters to the dinner dishes of sirloin, fish and chips and pistachio salmon …….. the kitchen really nailed each dish! Jeff thank you for the perfect table near the music!! Kristen you make the best drinks always with a smile! Food, service, and atmosphere were an A+ as always. Can’t wait to come back!

needs to be updated. looks and feels like a funeral home except for the noise. bartenders (not all) sit on their cell phones. also cheeae whiz in a weighed out 1 or 2 oz solo cup with a lid and a wrapped ip pack of keebler crackers doesn’t cut it if ur spending at least 200. up for two people for a late lunch.

By far, it is the worst restaurant on this planet. My child started crying, and as we began to console her the manager came over and asked us to take the child outside. I have definitely taken my child out of a restaurant if I'm not able to console her quickly so other people can enjoy their night out. But to have a manager come over and insist we take the child outside immediately upon her making any noise was the rudest experience I have ever had in any dining experience. Never mind the fish coming out uncooked, specialty burger was burnt and missing toppings, steak overcooked, and espresso martini tasted like sour milk. Will never even contemplate returning to this restaurant.

Reply to owner:
We had just sat down. No one had time to complain. What continued noise? You asked us to take our child outside before it had any time to continue. If you really are the owner your a horrible person.

Kid-friendliness: Not at all.
