Got 12 tacos of the al pastor and asada thinking it might be close to the ones back home. Al pastor was bbq pulled pork with a slice of pineapple(on point with the pineapple). And asada was dry unseasoned steak. Salsas didn't even help, and they made it a to go order.

I was born and raised in LA, and have struggled to find Mexican food that reminds me of home. Tuxpan is a slice of home, and is the best Mexican food I've had in Rhode Island. I am a Mexican food snob, so trust me!! The staff and owners are down to earth. They make their own tortillas, and it really adds to the homey feel of the place. I hope the intimate experience of the CF location is maintained even as they inevitably (and so well-deservedly) grow and thrive!

Hands down the BEST tacos I've had on the east coast. Nothing beats a freshly made tortilla and perfectly seasoned meats. I've only tried the birria and al pastor tacos but both are to die for. My favorite spot in Pawtucket for tacos!!

Just stopped in here for dinner and absolutely loved the food! I am so glad I was finally able to try this place being a James Beard nominee--and boy do they deserve the nomination! I got the carne asada taco, the camaron taco, an horchata, and an al pastor huarache. Everything was so fresh and delicious--you can really tell they pay attention to their ingredients and let each flavor sing! The lady at the counter was very nice, and the interior is pretty cute. There is very little seating, however, so if you have a party larger than 4 people, you may have trouble finding a place to eat in. Many people seem to order takeout, so I might also recommend that (though you might miss out on the fresh and warm tortillas!) Will be back again and again--wow. What a stand out meal!

Quite the unassuming little mexican restaurant with minimal seating and location lends for one of the best culinary experiences. Stopped in this weekend for a quick bite and despite a fairly limited menu, the line was out the door. Per the recommendation of the cashier I tried the enchiladas and hibiscus tea, my wife the pambazo. The enchiladas were cooked in the most delicious salsa verde, I could have had that alone and been happy. My wifes sandwich was a unique culinary take of mexican cuisine on a portuguese roll, fun and delicious! Service was pleasant, prices fair, overall a great experience. Glad to see this small local business gaining some recognition by being nominated for the James Beard!

The food here is really good. You can’t go wrong with any of the tacos or quesadillas. I really like their nachos as well.

Tuxpan Taqueria in Central Falls served my spouse and I an exceptional meal; no wonder they earned top honors as RI's finest taco destination.

Can I rate it a 10? Just came back from Mexico...Cozumel, Playa del Carmen, Tulum. If you want to taste authentic Mexican street food, just go here. It's small, simple, delicious and the family could not be any sweeter. There are no freezers or microwaves, everything is hand made, fresh. Say hello to Maria because she will be hand-making your tortilla. Just go, what a wonderful spot....and ask them about their new restaurant opening in downtown Providence!

A James Beard nominee and quite a busy place. Situated right in the middle of everything going on at its Broad Street location, this little taqueria is putting out some tremendous food. Only a few seats inside, so plan on calling it in and taking it to go. You won't be disappointed.

obviously I wasn't patient enough to take a proper photo LOL This little hole in the wall is my first time trying because I was in the area and needed something to eat. I was satisfied. Everything was delicious, will be back!
