Hands down the BEST tacos I've had on the east coast. Nothing beats a freshly made tortilla and perfectly seasoned meats. I've only tried the birria and al pastor tacos but both are to die for. My favorite spot in Pawtucket for tacos!!
Just stopped in here for dinner and absolutely loved the food! I am so glad I was finally able to try this place being a James Beard nominee--and boy do they deserve the nomination! I got the carne asada taco, the camaron taco, an horchata, and an al pastor huarache. I was born and raised in LA, and have struggled to find Mexican food that reminds me of home. Tuxpan is a slice of home, and is the best Mexican food I've had in Rhode Island. I am a Mexican food snob, so trust me!! The staff and owners are down to earth. They make their own tortillas, and it really adds to the homey feel of the place. I hope the intimate experience of the CF location is maintained even as they inevitably (and so well-deservedly) grow and thrive!
