Our daughter just got married in Charlestown, we had the rehearsal dinner at the General Stanton Inn. A bunch of us also stayed there as well! My daughter used the on site cottage overnight and the girls all got ready there. Jackie and Amber were so accommodating, they added their personal touches, and went above and beyond our expectations. We would highly recommend The General Stanton Inn for any function as well as dining in the restaurant! Way to go!
Seated right away with a reservation in a little room with two tables. Very in tune with age of the Inn, fireplace in room also. Had the Friday night special of Prime Rib served with mashed potato and broccoli and rolls and butter. Very good, nice addition to the menu. So glad the Inn is part of our neighborhood, a place with cloth napkins. Hear a new fall menu will be out soon, looking forward to it.
We were seated in a very charming, intimate, rustic room with only 2 tables and a large stone colonial fireplace. The entrees (we chose the salmon with asparagus and parmesan risotto) were perfectly prepared and cooked to order. The ambiance simply topped everything off to make the evening most enjoyable ?
