Service was great. Ended up sitting at the bar which was our preference. We were offered bread but it never came, when we received our meals I had asked about it and it unfortunately was on the bar the entire time. Our meals were also overcooked. We got the chicken parm and veal parm. Big fan of the Newport restaurant group but this outing was subpar.
Our server, Alexis, was so professional and plant. We never felt rushed even though we were there chatting with friends for a while!
We had a good experience on the enclosed space at Avvio. My husband specifically said no cheese and his meal had a dollop of ricotta. They did make him a new dish, but meant we could enjoy meal simultaneously. Server was great and our foot was good otherwise. Love the vibe there!
Celine was an amazing waitress and can't wait to ask for her again (as we keep coming back)!
A really good evening at Avvio to celebrate a birthday for our group of 6. Our server Jill was outstanding The food was tasty and came out ina good relaxed and efficient manner. Great job. We will be back.
I ordered sirloin steak. What I got was a chunk of meat that was very hard to cut and chew. Also we ordered a $35 bottle of wine , but we mistakenly got a $60 bottle. A disappointing night.
Our server was phenomenal! She truly went above and beyond to make our experience and help with celebrating a delayed birthday.
The food was delicious, and Briel, our server, was outstanding. She was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Her excellent service made the experience even more enjoyable.
Wonderful dining experience. Our Server, Josh G, was great. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, and one of his recommendations, the nduja crusted cod was absolutely delicious!
Every time we come here, we’re told there’s a wait. It could be at 5 on a Monday, or 2 on a Sunday- it doesn’t matter. I look out, and over 50% of the tables are empty. It’s 5 o’clock. I don’t want to hear that they’re not fully staffed- Covid is long over with. I swear they try to create their own demand. Yet- it’s my own fault because I came back once again.

Avvio has quickly become our go to date night restaurant!
Everything we've tried has been great, the consistency of the food is impeccable, the staff is always friendly and sweet.
A+ all around, we'll be back many times over!
Excellent place to go for a delightful meal, fresh, tasty, good choices, great atmosphere, spotless, friendly and the price is right .....
Went here for the first time yesterday. It was cute and the waitress was super nice- but the food was way overpriced for the portion sizes and taste. The gnocchi was just meh for $21. Drinks took foreverrr. You’re better off going to Marchetti’s in my opinion
We used to love this place but after today we won't be back. The waitress was lovely but the food was terrible. The food used to be wonderful, so I'm wondering if it has changed hands. The bread was very good but that's were it stops. We ordered the crispy artichokes which were inedible. We each ate two and then gave up. They had something hard in each one that you couldn't chew. I'm not sure if it was an outer leaf or stem. It was breaded with corn meal and somewhat burnt. The manager did take this off the bill. We ordered the chopped Italian sandwich with extra crispy fries to split. We asked the waitresses if this was served warm with a toasted roll and she indicated it was. The sandwich was cold and may as well have been chopped spam and pickles. It was awful and the fries were not extra crispy. We each ate a quarter of our half of sandwich and gave up on that also. We won't be returning.
The arancini were delicious! Caesar salad was also top notch. First time here, but not the last. Thanks!
