“Originally thought I was having Greek food but quickly learned I was having Syrian food. This is my first time having Syrian food and by far the best. I had a very simple meal I got the chicken salad and the grape leaves. Everything was so fresh and the flavors are so vibrant and very citrus forward which I love. I'm so excited to go back and try some of their more dishes. This is a great place to stop by have a quick bite to eat for lunch or dinner. As someone who is on the go a lot I'm really happy this is close to my work so I'll be coming here more often. The 2 gentle men that were there are very kind . Thank you !”

I was looking for something new & different in the Cranston area close to Garden City that wasn’t the same old monotonous fare that I’m used to. I stopped in for lunch on Thursday as I had an appointment on Reservoir Ave & again for dinner on Sunday after I picked up a cake at Antonio's Bakery. I’d like to start out by saying, I’m half Italian on my Dad’s side (Neapolitan, from the Avelino region, & Sicilian, specifically from Messina) & a quarter Armenian on my Mom’s side (ancient Armenia which is modern day Turkey)…so therefore I’m extremely fussy about my Italian, Armenian, Mediterranean, & Middle Eastern cuisine; my Grandma (Neapolitan) & Grandma (Armenian) were outstanding chef’s in their respective kitchens, & I was outrageously spoiled as a child & very rarely ate out, I had the best of the best~those skills were certainly not passed down nor inherited by me-scrambled eggs in the microwave anyone. With that being said… The owner (who is from Syria, so you know you’re getting an authentic product) & his team provided great customer service, very attentive & patient, knowledgeable about the food they’re serving & able to explain the flavor profile of each item. The restaurant is pretty well taken care of & clean. They encouraged me to try the shawarma, I’m glad I listened, I wasn’t disappointed…now I’m obsessed. I ordered the grape leaves, hummus, & chicken gyro. The grape leaves and the tzatziki were okay, I was expecting a tangy, lemony flavor with the grape leaves along with a more traditional look as well as flavor to the tzatziki, however the hummus & chicken gyro were very good. The hummus was creamy & the gyro was light, airy, & mild…it felt like I was eating healthy. The owner provided a free sample of their falafel…which I had at another establishment years ago & didn’t like…when I returned on Sunday I ordered that along with the chicken gyro, & the owner gave me a free paklava dessert-to my surprise I thoroughly enjoyed it as I’ve found others hit or miss & off putting. Needless to say, I had an amazing experience & I’ll definitely be a repeat customer for sure when I’m in town.”

“I would like to share an experience I recently had at Christy’s liquors in Cranston. In a world where there is so many youths drinking underage it was great to see a group of young adults carded and refused alcohol at this liquor store. It was apparent to me that the staff are extremely cautious when selling alcohol. In addition, I am in a wheelchair and was so appreciative of the customer service and help I received getting to my car. The prices were great! I would highly recommend Christy’s to anyone.”

“Sundaes has always been my favorite ice cream shop. Last year I developed an allergy to tree nuts. It is severe. Out of all of the places I have been to eat Sundaes Cranston has gone above and beyond to ensure no exposure to tree nuts. “Gong Cha in the Providence and Cranston area is a boba tea shop that operates with the customization options the chain is known for. The space is clean and well kept, with a couple of tables and some board games available that give it a slightly more social feel than a purely grab and go setup.

The drink customization here is genuine rather than performative. Sugar levels and ice levels are both adjustable and the staff actually follow through on the specifications, which is not universally true at boba shops that advertise the same options. The wintermelon milk tea, taro with black boba and milk foam, brown sugar bubble tea, and the strawberry milk tea are all strong choices and represent what the kitchen does consistently well.

The boba pearls are cooked in house and the texture reflects that, with a chewiness that holds up through the drink. It reflects an average gong cha experience, and this location does it well.”

I left off the hot honey...wasn't ready for that. It was delicious. I am a new patron! Crust is crisp and tight, toppings were fresh, ricotta was creamy. I'll give it a 9.5. Only note was it was not kept hot and I ordered it well done and it was regular done...2 minor blips.”

“Imperial Dynasty has just become my favorite Chinese restaurant in Rhode Island! Everything (and I mean everything) was exceptionally good.

We got wonton soup & miso soup, the Appetizer 2 (which comes with beef teriyaki, chicken wings, boneless spareribs, fantail shrimp & krab rangoon), beef egg foo young, and sweet & sour chicken. We even got to try their house-made ice cream. So light, full of flavor and topped with fresh made whipped cream.

You can taste all the different flavors, and that made a big difference (especially in the egg foo young, which you do taste the vegetables and seasoning.) The beef teriyaki was flavorful & very tender - the soup was tasty as well. The krab rangoon are filled and fried to order

Everything is made from scratch which you can see & taste in the final product. We loved everything we had & we will definitely come back!
