“Get the Turkish coffee!!!!! You won't be disappointed. The owner is fun, friendly and will make you love this place. The baklava was amazing as was the pistachio ice cream. But the pistachio Turkish coffee .... well that is where it is at!!! Cute outdoor patio too. Enjoy!”

“Location/decor/ambiance: the owners have tried to turn the spacious brick and beam interior of a former factory building into a ghetto-ish inner cityscape skateboard park using graffiti-style airbrush graphics, little skateboards that serve as bar chair seat backs, concrete floors painted with Providence manhole covers, etc. Visually, the effect is mixed. I “get” what the owners are trying for, but it isn’t for me an “attractive” dining decor. It looks much more like a dance club for young twenty-somethings. I quickly adjusted to the inner-city grunge decor, but what we couldn’t adjust to was the VERY loud rap/hip-hop music blaring out of some very robust speakers non-stop. Talking was difficult. Yes, I’m an older person, but I don’t begrudge anyone their musical sensibilities… provide its not full of “***** and “nigga” and roaring out at at least 90 decibels. Whatever they’re trying to be, they need to remember that they are l (at 10 am) a restaurant, not a dance club. Food & service: unexpectedly, given the above criticism, the food was outstanding, I mean really good. Caught us off guard. Just beautifully imagined and realized. Would I return? Probably not. Even the great food cant quite overcome the soundscape. Interesting place, though”

“I held a rehearsal dinner at Maria’s and I cannot say enough how great it was to plan with the help of Chris Spertini. He made the whole evening a success by guiding me with food choices and seating arrangement. Our server was excellent. She was extremely attentive to our guests. This will be my go-to restaurant. If you have not dined at Maria’s you are missing out.”

“Small space that can feel overwhelming when you walk in but the food is great! The staff is patient and able to answer questions or give recommendations and it's definitely a mom and pop shop. It is cash only so be mindful of that. It is also hard to find parking right outside of the shop so you might have to park a block or so away.

Service might be a little slow because they're not always at the cash register because they're on the back making the food, so please be patient and wait a little bit. Their bahn mi is so good and we always stop by when we come to Rhode Island. The mayo on their bread is unlike any other mayo because it's not heavy and it's deliciously addictive and it's homemade! The bahn mi as a whole is crispy and savory and light and you just keep eating it. I highly recommend!”

“This was my first visit and immediately you can tell the staff is very friendly. The iced coffee with macadamia nut milk was very good. Even better, the bacon egg and cheese breakfast was a 10/10. “Oh my goodness I cannot even give al Forno enough stars. A friend recommended this as we were going to be just one night in Providence. He suggested the corn pizza which sounded so an appetizing. However walking up to the restaurant we happen to meet one of the chefs, Phil. My boyfriend is a foodie and had some engaging conversation about what we should get. We totally took his recommendation of the corn pizza as well as the duck home feet. We did not have a reservation but the hostess suggested we grab a drink at one of the three bars and she would find us. I thought that was pretty special that she would just come find us and she did. We got a lovely table by a window. But while waiting for our table and having a drink I set my martini on the bench next to me a gentleman walked by brought a paper napkin and politely put it under my drink for me. It was actually Matt the manager who introduced himself and I was grateful. That was the beginning of the most amazing service and attention to detail. We felt like we were celebrities. We ordered the corn pizza and oh my goodness it was ridiculously good. The crispy thin crust with the most amazing sauce and fresh corn was an incredible marriage of flavors. We also had the duck cold feet which was served with a deck reduction and cherries. It was accompanied by a bit of mashed potatoes. Again mind-blowing! Matt checked on us the chef came out as he obviously recognized the order. And with some conversation you could see how much everyone including our server I apologize I don't remember his name maybe Ivan all loved what they did. I'm sorry I forgot to take pictures before I was halfway through everything but it is memorable in my mind and in my mouth.”

“This Starbucks is the best one I've been to. The staff is so warm and friendly and very helpful. When I come in I don't even have to order anymore because they already remember what I'm getting because I'm a regular.. I love that. It's those little personal touches that just makes your day better and puts a smile on your face. If you just want to get away from the city for a while and have a coffee this is the place for you. This Starbucks is also very popular with the college crowd.”

“I absolutely love the food! I always get the large carne asada. Its carne asada, white vegetable rice, salad with piccolo de gallo, carrot and macaroni salad, fried platano and beans. It’s authentic Guatemalan food and I love it.The inside looks a bit janky, but they just opened up. I remember the building itself was a party store than it became a Panda Express and now it’s Xoyita. I usually get take out and eat comfortably at home.”

“I would like to take this time to think the three workers that was working around 2:00 PM this afternoon on August 1. Not only was they crazy busy But these workers were very polite and attentive to every customer while serving each and everyone of us with a smile. I want to give recognition where it is due. The only thing that threw me off that there was a refrigerator with juices that expired in 2020- the liquids have separated and were discolored- kinda gross and a waste of electricity.”

“I went there on a Sunday afternoon right before they opened for business, and they already had a line of people waiting outside; I knew that meant that they were good. Once the doors opened, the line moved quickly. The service (which is incredibly important to me) was very professional and friendly. The place is clean and modern, and the vibe was great. I bought a cube cookie butter croissant which was fresh, delicious, and the portion was huge (enough for four people to eat from). The ice cream was amazing! The portion of the ice cream was also big, and it was delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I recommend it 100%. I will be going back soon.”
