The part of me that wants everyone to feel what it's like eat at your nonna's house where they think you are the greatest thing that ever happened, triumphed over the part of me that wants to keep this place a secret so there isn't a line out the door every day.

This restaurant is a true experience. The quality of the ingredients and the quality of the service is unlike any other. Whether it’s a casual dinner or a wine tasting, they have a way of making it special. I couldn’t recommend Dolce & Salato more.
We went to Dolce & Salato for the first time. It felt like eating dinner at a family home. Armando was so welcoming. He pulled up a chair to go over our food selections. He made our drinks himself. The food was very good and tasted homemade. I would return for the Armando Experience with wine pairing so we can give him creative freedom and be more immersed in his heritage and passion. His hospitality made our entire evening.

Dolce & Salato, a new restaurant by local chef Armando Bisceglia, offered a pop-up experience during the Splendor of Florence's Sott'Acqua Festival in November 2024. Housed in the old Tilden-Thurber Building on Westminster Street, the restaurant features rustic and elegant décor, reminiscent of Florence, and a special wine window that adds to the old-world charm.
Diners can expect an authentic Tuscan menu, which includes dishes such as gnocchi al tartufo and ossobuco di maiale, both of which have received positive reviews for their taste and quality. The gnocchi is described as being in a creamy sauce with pieces of truffle, while the ossobuco is a tender pork shank with various vegetables. The restaurant also offers homemade pasta, calamari, and burrata, along with the classic tiramisu dessert, which is praised for its light and well-balanced flavors.
