“I booked a reservation for my husband’s birthday and we dined before attending a concert in Providence. Brianna was our server and was great! The pace of service, food and ambience was great! Very attentive to the fact that it was a birthday. We willl return!Parking: Free valet parking was a plus!“
“Dined here recently . First time eating here and to say we were happy is an understatement . Food was good but the service was second to none . Our waiter Jason was one of the best we’ve had anywhere. Vert knowledgeable and personable . Seemed to have a great feel and timing for the flow of the restaurant . Dessert we had the mocha cheesecake which was just alright . Will definitely be back“
“Always a great experience here. Nick's service was spot on. The shrimp fra diavolo was delicious but could have been a little spicer for me- but the crushed red pepper did the trick. Love the atmosphere and am looking forward to next time!“
“We popped in here for an app and drink prior to another reservation, and never wanted to leave! Michael at the bar was so wonderful -- he was kind, knowledgable, and had the perfect service timing. The restaurant seemed great, but Michael is what took it over the top. Thanks for your service, Mike!!!“
“My husband and I got a large Cuban sandwich with a side of fries and it was plenty for us to split. It cost just under $20 with two sodas. The sandwich was nice and crispy on the outside and the pork was very tender. The fries were amazing! Homemade and topped with large flaky salt. I LOVE when a place does homemade fries. To me it makes such a difference. The restaurant was very clean and the girl working was friendly. They also have a parking lot.“
“The food, service, atmosphere, and experience were all very decent. The appetizers were delicious, we got the clams casino and spicy fried ravioli - highly recommend. The bread that comes at beginning was good but kind of cold.Service was decent; it was a busy night and our server was relatively attentive and our water glasses were never empty. However, the entrees were disappointing. Two of the pasta dishes were surprisingly bland. The stuffed cod was great though; anything "stuffed" on the menu I highly recommend.Good restaurant with good service, but nothing special.“
“Massive Italian-American dishes. The cooking is not subtle and serving isn't exactly "elegant", but it's very comforting with homestyle flavors. Service is efficient and professional. Some of the specialty mains are enough food for two people, so order if you either want a heart attack or can take the rest home.Parking: Free (tips) valet parking, with car drop off spot in front of restaurant“
“From walking in I walked into a very upscale casual dinner vibe. Gabrielle was very attentive and accommodative. I ordered the Cuban and was suprised by how fresh and massive the order size was. The manager Mike was kind and made sure everything was to our liking. 5 out of 5, will come back.“
“One of the best restaurants you’ll ever go to. The pizza is the best in the world (no exaggeration). Everything else on their menu is delicious and unique. From their salad to pasta, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The atmosphere is always lively and service is great. Can’t recommend enough.“
“Armando and staff provide an amazing "foodies" food experience. This is the place where the food is freaking exceptional and every bite is exploding with robust flavors, but the owner and staff are energetically entertaining also. Having a meal here is the worth the wait. MOST DEFINITELY I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.“
“Without question, Anthony's should be everyone's first choice for the finest, and most authentic Italian cuisine! Each and every selection on their menu is a true winner! The ambiance exemplifies the ultimate, European experience and the pricing is extremely rational. Last but not least , the service provided by the staff is consistently SUPERB! You can't possible go wrong choosing this restaurant.“
“I’m giving Piemontes 5 stars because their pizza is fantastic. BUT….Piemonte’s…. Cmon… I ordered a gluten free pizza (margarita) and you put this HORRIBLE looking basil in my box, you didn’t even put it in my pizza, which also came cold as ice. Do better next time with Gluten free pizza.“
“Special, special experience at Sarto to be had. If you’re looking to impress a date or host an important business dinner, Sarto will not disappoint. Attentive, gracious, and knowledgeable serving team coupled with an original menu and smart atmosphere make for a positively memorable evening. If you can, ask for a seat upstairs along the railing. Best seats and service in the house. Jazz night is not to be missed! Not too loud. Not to modern. Enjoy!Vegetarian options: Original vegetarian options that were not just ‘another salad’. They were filling and unique. Kudos! The chef and waitstaff also managed around allergies well.“
“This is a 100 year old family run restaurant with nostalgic decor. Everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable. The food is fantastic, large portions and reasonably priced for families. We went there on a recommendation from the Phantom Gourmet. Will definitely go back.“
“My absolute favorite sandwich place in the state. I haven't been to every sandwich place in the state, but quite a few. The bread, the fresh, high quality ingredients, it's all just spot on. I've only ever gotten two of their Italians, the Alitalia and the Deluxe. Both are amazing. I prefer the Alitalia, as it seems a bit more high end with prosciutto and capocollo, instead of salami and ham (they both have pepperoni and provolone). The provolone that they use is top notch. It really stands out, nice and sharp. Definitely not your supermarket cheese. My wife got the hut roasted turkey and added provolone to that (her standard sandwich order anywhere), and she said it's the best she's ever had.“
“If you're not eating at Tomaselli's, where are you eating? The staff, food and bar chairs are where it is at! They have daily specials and great deals. There is something for everyone on the menu. If you want Italian, look no further then your own local favorites at Tomaselli's at Rosario! Great for a small dinner or a large function. Call and reserve a spot today!“
“A spin off of the Sandwich Hut on Fed Hill, this nice little sandwich shop serves a smaller version of the original location’s menu with the same high-quality ingredients. Every sandwich I’ve gotten here has been great, and for a small menu they have a pretty varied selection. I’m an especially big fan of their Italian grinders.Service has also been top notch every time I’ve came and although it feels a little pricey for a sandwich, everywhere does these days. Their large sandwiches are also very filling, I rarely take leftovers from places but have always had to get the second half to go. Unfortunately their hours are a bit limited, but if your schedule lines up it’s definitely worth a visit!“
“My family and I had dinner here and it was just as close as you’re going to get to dining in Italy. The food is imported from Italy and they have an amazing wine menu, all coming from small vineyards in Italy. There’s no other authentic Italian wine bar on federal hill, and it’s perfect for wine tasting and trying all their amazing Italian small plates. They also have a market next door where you can buy the wines and food you ate! Luigi the manager was also excellent and gave great menu recommendations. Will definitely be back it’s truly an underrated spot on the hill.“
“Very solid spot for dinner if you're in the area. Not mind blowing but good! Had the Greek style salad that was good but a bit overdressed and a bit heavy on vinegar for my taste. Pasta was cooked well (had the bolognese). Portions quite sizeable! Easy to make a reservation and service was prompt and the right level of attentiveness.“
“Simply fantastic. Expansive menu. Each dish was some of the best we’ve had even besting some South Philly haunts. Linguine vongole was off the charts good, chicken parm was perfect, housemade marinara and meat sauces both incredible. Interior is old school adding to the charm. Bravo!!“
“Absolutely delicious food here! Great attentive service throughout the entire meal. We ordered the Beer Battered Onion Rings, House Salad, and a Small stuffed Pizza (mushrooms and sausage). Highly recommend ordering a stuffed pizza if you've never had one before!! I'll definitely be back for more!Parking: Parking is metered where you can pay with an app during peak time.“
“Service was excellent, Food was tasty and prepared well,Drink were strong and added the right touch to the entree Ambiance was the Best! Romantic, nice lighting. Easy to to use Valet & Would definitely recommend for a special evening or just a cocktail at there cool Bar“
“I need to give a big shout out to Carissa. Not only did she take care of us beautifully. But she was very sensitive to the fact that my husband had just come out of the hospital and took care of us in a timely fashion so that we could enjoy a wonderful meal but make our exit also. Food was fantastic and I highly recommend the mushroom tortellini, not like anything you've had anywhere.“
“My go to spot for prepared food, pizza, Italian desserts and imported pastas on Federal Hill.Ollie and Alex greet you with a smile and make you feel welcomed!Have used them a few times for catering and always get rave reviews on the quality and flavors.“
“The food was very good and the restaurant was very nice. The service was excellent. Will surely go back again.Vegetarian options: There are options for vegetarians.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: There is room for a wheelchair to get in.“
“We went for a quick bite, it was pretty quiet and the service was good. I had hot chicken sliders, loved the potato bun and tenders with very good sauce! My friend had the garlic parm wings and he said he loved it!! I would def go back to try more.“
“Took my wife for our 5th year anniversary dinner and staff, food and service was excellent. We got a shrimp dish and wasn't to happy with it and immediately the mgr came over apologized and gave us a fish entree which was amazing! The staff is professional and food is delicious. The price was $125 fully loaded and well worth it for a special occasion!“
“Had ?? dinner at Trattoria Appia for our last night in Providence, Rhode Island before we headed back to Virginia Beach, Va. I got the SPAGHETTINI CON POLPETTE: Our famous meatballs, house marinara, hand-dipped ricotta and I subbed for their in house fresh made pasta and added grilled chicken and My wife got the LASAGNA DI CARNE: Traditional wood oven baked Neapolitan meat lasagna, house marinara, mozzarella.Dinner & Dessert was Tiramisu absolutely ?!!! My wife had made reservations and when we walked in we were greeted with a smile and seated us immediately. They replace table cloths before new guests arrive every time. Little details like this make us impressed for its cleanliness ?!!!“
“Best meal I’ve had in Providence. The Arancini stole the show with stop-the-conversation amazing taste and left me happy for days. Definitely order this. Maybe order two servings. The chef slightly overcooked the Duck Breast, but I really enjoyed the dish overall. I would (will) order them again.Avoid the Foie Gras with jam. The foie gras is sub par — a bit tasteless and bad texture— and the jam completely overpowers the dish. Our server Joey was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable.“
“We had an amazing time, the bartender Tori was so attentive and knowledgeable. The food and drinks were excellent, I got the trofie al pesto, and an Italian bee (gin cocktail) and it was out of this world!! I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be back!“
“Quaint little authentic Italian grocer and deli, serving up delicious affordable sandwiches, panini, wraps, pizzas, and variety of other hot foods. Amongst the other fancier busier options blocks away on federal hill, this might be smaller but you certainly will not be disappointed by either the food or service! There is also ample seating in the dining area to enjoy the yum yums on site!Pastry counter offers a solid selection of treats, which will pair wonderfully with the perfect espresso!Cold cuts were sliced perfectly thin and expertly packaged with precision, prepare to wait a bit if there is a line, but 100% worth it!“
“One of our favorite markets anywhere. In town for a conference so early Sunday went there on our way out of town. Picked specialty items for at least three meals this week, please some staples such as their own marinated olives and a champagne liver pate. And of course a fresh warm batard, some of which was torn off as breakfast for the 6 hour ride home in the snow.“
“I've had better pizza slices. However, it did not dissapoint. The NY pepperoni slice kept me busy as I was waiting for a movie to start.Pros:Mozzarella cheese tasted relatively fresh + and stringy.Dough is nice and soft.Cons:Wish the slice was less greasy on the top and...well... the sauce was bland. (hence the star off)Overall, the pizza was good!“
“Pianta is a vegan’s paradise! The ambiance is amazing same goes for the servers. The food is flavorful and creative, with different specials every time we visit. Whether you're a vegan or just curious, this restaurant offers something for everyone.“
