“Great atmosphere! And Christine our server was awesome. Very friendly and helpful. She checked on us consistently- thanks! I only got pics of our appetizers as we were hungry and chowed on our mani courses. Started with a 1930 DAQ, Wawtuhmelon and a Vino Rosso Gaio - all drinks were tasty! We started with the Truffle fries and the Crispy Duck Meatballs- oh my both were great! The flavor in the Duck meatballs was amazing! The sweet chili glaze just hits it out of the park! On to dinner I ordered the Steak Frites - excellent flavor and cooked perfect! Wife ordered the Chicken Picatta - very tasty with a great lemon flavor! “Maria's Cucina hosted our recent wedding reception. I made arrangements with the previous owner and was blind-sided to learn that he had sold the restaurant one month prior to our wedding. I met with new owners Raymond and Brynn and they were both outstanding. They immediately made us comfortable that they were prepared to make our wedding reception a beautiful and memorable event. And WOW did they deliver. The food was excellent, the service truly top-notch, and it is a stunning and classy venue. Our waiter Paul was exceptional. Providence is blessed to have such an outstanding restaurant for all to enjoy.“

“A group of 4 of us went last night for my husband’s birthday. We randomly found them online and figured we would give them a try because the menu looked unique with lots of different options. The atmosphere was intimate and cozy, the drinks were great, our server Cookie was great and the food was amazing! We will definitely be back.“

“First time in. Monday night special is quite the deal! Food tasted excellent and portions are large. I was able to take home plenty of food and my unfinished bottle of wine. We did feel a bit rushed. Not only to place our order but appetizers and salads were served at the same time to our small table. We were asked multiple times if we were done with courses when we had forks in our hands. Because the food was delicious and very well prepared we’ll give it another try and hope for a better service experience.“

“We’ve been dining at Al Forno since the 90s - but had not been for at least 10 years. So decided to build a day trip from CT - around a dinner reservation. It did not disappoint - the only argument was what was the “best” - the corn pizza, the dirty steak, the Rigatoni Bolognese, or the Chocolate Bread pudding. The Barolo gets a nod too. All brought together beautifully by our gifted and personable server Madison. We we will be back sooner next time. Exceptional experience.“

“I had the grilled chicken sandwich that comes with pickle slices and potato wedges. It was all very good. I was surprised to see that it came with two small grilled breasts instead of one—that made the airport sticker shock better.

We frequent Providence and love Italian food, but we’ve struggled to find a restaurant that meets our standards. The rigatoni alla vodka with chicken cutlet and chicken Alfredo were both outstanding! The espresso martini was one of the best I’ve had as well

Saturday nights feature an elevated experience with a live DJ, so be prepared for loud music. We loved the atmosphere for a fun night out in Providence!

“My husband and I went for the first time on Saturday and sat at the bar. We ordered apps and cocktails and of course oysters. Best oysters in RI by far believe it or not. Drinks were ok but food fabulous! Would have given 5 stars if not for the bartender. She focused solely on my husband the entire time even gave him a free drink. It was very obvious and blatant disrespect to me. My husband even commented on feeling uncomfortable. As a former bartender the general rule is to pay more attention to the wife than the husband out of respect but also because most often the wife is writing the tip. We will for sure be going back but will sit at a table and maybe only order sparkling water.“

“We stumbled across this place tonight without realizing it was entirely Vegan. We're not Vegan ourselves, but our daughter is, so we eat a lot of Vegan cuisine. I ordered a zucchini "steak" dish that sounded unique, and my hubby got the country "chicken." Both were extraordinary - the best meal either of us has had since we moved to RI (and we've had some great meals). The food was honestly bursting with flavor, and the quantity was just right. The service was perfect, too, attentive without being intrusive. We debated getting dessert, since the dinner flavor left such a satisfying taste behind, but we couldn't resist the gluten-free chocolate brownie. It came with raspberries on top and a trickle of raspberry sauce, in a combination that was again perfect - crispy edges, a gooey center, sweet and rich but not too much so, with the raspberry flavor offsetting the chocolate in a way I've never tasted in my entire not-particularly-young life. It was so, so good, and to my surprise, it blended well with the dinner flavors. I've been sitting here all evening enjoying the last remnants of the taste, reluctant to go brush my teeth, and I thought I should take a moment to leave a review on the various sites. We will absolutely be return customers, and we can't recommend this restaurant enough!“
