“Great atmosphere! And Christine our server was awesome. Very friendly and helpful. She checked on us consistently- thanks! I only got pics of our appetizers as we were hungry and chowed on our mani courses. Started with a 1930 DAQ, Wawtuhmelon and a Vino Rosso Gaio - all drinks were tasty! We started with the Truffle fries and the Crispy Duck Meatballs- oh my both were great! The flavor in the Duck meatballs was amazing! The sweet chili glaze just hits it out of the park! On to dinner I ordered the Steak Frites - excellent flavor and cooked perfect! Wife ordered the Chicken Picatta - very tasty with a great lemon flavor! “The part of me that wants everyone to feel what it's like eat at your nonna's house where they think you are the greatest thing that ever happened, triumphed over the part of me that wants to keep this place a secret so there isn't a line out the door every day. Giovanna clearly knew what she thought each of us should eat but tried hard to not let it show "but, eat what you want...." The only thing lacking is the service, weren't rude by any means but felt like you were dining at just a chain restaurant. “My husband and I went for the first time on Saturday and sat at the bar. We ordered apps and cocktails and of course oysters. Best oysters in RI by far believe it or not. Drinks were ok but food fabulous! Would have given 5 stars if not for the bartender. She focused solely on my husband the entire time even gave him a free drink. It was very obvious and blatant disrespect to me. My husband even commented on feeling uncomfortable. As a former bartender the general rule is to pay more attention to the wife than the husband out of respect but also because most often the wife is writing the tip. We will for sure be going back but will sit at a table and maybe only order sparkling water.“
