My husband and I went for the first time on Saturday and sat at the bar. We ordered apps and cocktails and of course oysters. Best oysters in RI by far believe it or not. Drinks were ok but food fabulous! Would have given 5 stars if not for the bartender. She focused solely on my husband the entire time even gave him a free drink. Based on the reviews, Blackstone Oyster Bar offers really good food, great atmosphere, and a friendly atmosphere. The grilled sword was fantastic, the fish was delicious and very well cooked, and the calamari and oysters are good. The oysters are so fresh. The restaurant is one of the best neighborhood restaurants in the area, with food, atmosphear and staff that are second to none. It is a wonderful Italian restaurant in an unassuming but quaint location with upscale food. However, the service on a busy night is poor, making it a miserable experience. The restaurant was extremely noisy and freezing cold. Portions were very small. The half price appetizer deal does not include all appetizers, which feels like false advertising. The appetizers were delicious and large but very expensive. The service is fantastic and the bar is very cozy. It is always a great place, and seating at the bar provides an unforgettable experience.
