“Aleppo Sweets is an amazing spot with a fantastic atmosphere and even better food. We loved the decorations and hanging plants. We ordered variety of dishes to split between three of us. We ordered the spicy chicken shawarma wrap, the spicy falafel wrap, the baba ghanoush, the cheese fatayer, and the musabaha and finished off the meal with an ice cream baklava sweet treat to share. We got two Turkish coffees with milk and a hibiscus iced tea that were delicious complements to the meal. There was a bit of a wait for the coffees, but that’s totally understandable considering how they are made! All of the dishes were delicious but the spicy chicken shawarma with a garlic sauce to die for and the pistachio baklava with vanilla ice cream sandwiched between was out of this world good. The ice cream was the perfect consistency and had pistachios pressed into it. It was the perfect dessert to share!“

I requested they deliver them to our location. Not only were they on time, but Rex placed a call to me prior to heading over. The presentation was perfection. They provided us with plates, forks and napkins as well as some to go boxes. I highly recommend Zinneken's Belgian Waffles! I am an event planner - so I always look for the WOW factor and this had it all! “Trying to be honest here, and the food and coffee are just “OK.” The staff is friendly and the place is cute. If I’m craving something that’s going leave me like “hell yeah that was great,” I’ll go elsewhere downtown, but again, it’s a really cute place and the staff is friendly so definitely worth still stopping in! I was going to give 4 stars but the mediocrity of food *on occasion* is not worth dinging a small business and pushing people elsewhere. It’s still a staple of downtown.“

“Social media team is very responsive, and baristas have a good system in place for busy rushes despite the space being so small, so I really like everything about the company. Bakery items are always super good! I love the atmosphere and I love the little shop in the back so I keep coming back to hang out and study. I’m super excited for them to open their new location since it looks a lot bigger, and space for pick up orders&waiting for drinks seems to be the only problem they actively have“

“My daughter and I were staying at the Graduate Hotel in downtown Providence and we were in desperate need of a good place for cappucino and a some food before returning home. Bolt Coffee was a short block walk from the hotel and smack beside the Biltmore Garage where we were parked. It was so cold and windy we were tempted to resort to a drive thru but I'm SO happy that we pushed through and went in. The atmosphere was bright, warm, and welcoming. We ordered an iced caramel cappucino and a hot cappucino, the Breakfast Sandwich and a Ham & Cheese croissant. The wait staff was excellent and the food was so fresh! We decided to stay and eat there and split the sandwiches. They were both delicious! My cappucino was a work of art and made me smile...sometimes it's just those simple touches that make your experience. We will definitely go back to Providence soon and Bolt will be the first stop on our list.“

“i have been coming here a couple times a year since 2011 and i have never had anything even remotely resembling a negative experience. the vibes are great, the service is great, the food is head and shoulders above your average train station fare, and way better than anything the amtrak cafe car has to offer. i am typing this from a table on the northeast regional watching the new england coast go by, sipping my little iced coffee, wiping everything bagel crumbs from my keyboard, and feeling the specific kind of contentment i only get after grabbing breakfast at this establishment. 11/10 would recommend“

Nero's Foundry Cafe Cafe • $
235 Promenade St Suite 250, Providence

“Not only is this place in a beautifully restored historical factory but the people that work here have the kindest souls and treat you like a human being should be treated. It was my first time, I parked at the visitor parking (pictured) and when I walked in I was greeted so kindly by the hostess. I got food to go, I ordered an avocado toast and although they didn't have it on their menu and they didn't have to make it for me, they went out of their way to make it. I asked for it extra crispy on rye bread and boy, was it delicious. Between that and the coffee I ordered it came to $6, and I left a nice tip. Honestly, it's worth going here, there aren't a lot of places around where you will be treated so kindly and where you can get good food at a decent price. I highly recommend you stop in, and stay for a bit. The seating is beautiful. The staff is super friendly, and the food is well worth it. Thank you so much for your impeccable hospitality, I will definitely be back.“

“The smell and sounds were all so genuine and rich in culture. Their bagels had their familiar crusty bite but just melted in your mouth once you start chompin'I ordered the Cinnamon Raisin bagel with a Cinnamon Raisin cream cheese spread. And as redundant as that sounds I think the spread fell too short of the markup price just by taste alone. Equally, the bagel was grilles which is a welcomed method of toasting, however, it had the grills residual flavors of garlic, salt, and some other questionable flavors left unrecognizable due to the other sweet flavors. I finished the bagel and spread with a med hot chocolate of SwissMiss and whole milk. It wasn't too hot, so I was pleased I could drink it right away.Overall 5 stars but the rookie mistake of a not so clean grill set the flavor profile a star below.“
