Cozy Italian restaurant/bar. Small in size, but absolutely adorable inside. Food and drinks were excellent and service was great! Can't wait to go back!!!

Bar lazio is a great Italian bar. They have everything imported directly from Italy. It has a great atmosphere and a nice patio in the summertime. This is my go to spot for a quick drink or a nice meal out. I highly recommend.

I've been back there many times. Food is absolutely delicious. I bring friends each time they compliment me for taking them.

Our first time at Bar Lazio was a wonderful experience . The atmosphere set the mood with draping lights and the warmth of the flaming heat lamps near each table to hear our friend Steven Palumbo share his talent as the voice of RI. The food was delicious and our server was attentive and always checking if we needed anything . We will return . Thank you, K. Greene

You might be wondering why I gave five stars across the board but only one star overall. Let me explain.
My husband and I have visited this restaurant 4–5 times since it opened. The food is outstanding, the service top-notch, and the atmosphere excellent. Normally, this would be a slam-dunk five-star review. However, one of the owner, Chris, is the reason for this rating.
We’ve had great experiences with the other owner, Vinnie. He’s friendly, attentive, and genuinely seems to care about his guests. Chris, on the other hand, has repeatedly shown a lack of hospitality and awareness of how to treat customers.
One night, my husband and I came in for a date night and sat at the end of the bar near the door. Our bartender was fantastic. Another couple came and sat at the other end of the corner bar near us. Chris came over and chatted with them—for a long time. During this, he repeatedly blocked the bartender from doing his job and stood right in front of the TV we were watching (the Little League World Series). Not once did he acknowledge us, no greeting, no “how’s everything?”, nothing. Just a glance in our direction and that was it. Not a huge deal in isolation, but definitely off putting.
More recently, my elderly mother met a friend there on a Friday around 5 PM. The server kindly pushed two tables together for them, as my sister-was joining later. They ordered drinks while waiting, and when my sister arrived, they caught up and planned to order dinner.
After my sister left (about an hour later), and the two ladies were getting ready to order food, a server came over and asked if they could remove the unused table—totally fine.
But then Chris walked over. No greeting, no introduction—just bluntly asked the two elderly women, “If you’re not eating, can you move to the bar so we can seat others?”
Seriously! This kind of tone-deaf, dismissive behavior is completely unacceptable. My husband and I have both worked in the restaurant business worked in the restaurant industry for over 30 years, including time as a restaurant manager and now as an executive chef. We’ve never seen an owner act with such little regard for paying guest, especially elderly guests trying to enjoy a night out.
It’s painfully clear that Chris doesn’t understand basic hospitality or how to run a front-of-house. Hopefully, Vinnie can set him straight before more loyal customers like us decide not to return.

Stopped by for an appetizer and cocktail which we had in the outdoor patio - Cocktail was very good; eggplant appetizer not so good. The deep fried crust was very heavy, and the top had some sauce and a thick layer of cheese. The underlying layers had nothing. I asked for a side of marinara sauce, and was charged $1 for it. I hope the owners enjoyed that extra $1 as it's the last one they'll get from me. Gentleman, really?

We love the owner, Vinny—he’s so welcoming—and the food and menu are fantastic. Truly amazing food, best Italian I have ever had.

The only downside is the staff, who still have some room to improve. Even after asking, we weren’t given silverware, which took away from the experience.

During our recent visit with a party of three, the service was unfortunately terrible. Our waitress did not check on us, and we had to flag her down just to order another drink and ask for the check. Checks are done on tablets, but she still chose not to bring ours. Fifteen minutes later, I flagged her down again and told her to forget the drink since it was taking so long. She was very rude, insisting it had “only been five minutes” and refusing to take it off the bill. To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, she took the tablet and added a 20% tip for herself without showing us the receipt.
That felt dishonest and left a very bad impression.
That said, the restaurant is new, and we truly wish the best for Vinny and hope the service improves to match the amazing food. Leaving 5 stars for the owner and the food!

Since Bar Lazio opened, it’s quickly become my favorite spot to unwind, share great conversation, and enjoy incredible food. From the freshest selections to build a custom charcuterie board, to perfectly cooked pizza, pasta, and appetizers made with care, everything here is outstanding. Truly a place you can enjoy any day of the week!

We got there kind of late. It was empty on a Saturday night and they rushed us out. But we were all drunk so I get it and it was just ok.

Absolutely loved this spot! The Italian food was delicious, full of flavor and perfectly cooked, and the owner imports from Italy. The atmosphere had such good vibes, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the night. The drinks were just as impressive, with a great selection and expert mixes. Can’t wait to come back, loving the fresh espresso martinis!

The food was great. The atmosphere was even better. We felt like we are in a piazza in Italy. Not even joking. Especially when it got dark out sitting on the patio with an espresso and dessert they hit the mark. Anybody who has been to Italy will know exactly what I am talking about.
