Went for a birthday dinner and was surprised to at the quality of our meals. Many ingredients sourced abroad which added to the authenticity of the Italian cuisine. Drinks were impeccable as well.

The food was excellent and our server was attentive and very nice. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. The bolognese and chicken parm were delicious. The butter cake and gelato were incredible desserts and an excellent combination.

Overall, we were disappointed despite the great service. The large groups of people milling in the aisles and being much too loud spoiled it for us. One meal was very good, however the chicken parmigiana was overcooked and the sauce was bland.!

Great atmosphere and good food. Our chicken parm was delicious but the portion was a bit small. Our pasta was also great but the brocolli rabe was a bit over-salted. Still enjoyed our meal and would come back again.

We had an amazing dinner at Basta last night. The food was delicious and the service was terrific. The ambiance was great but the noise level was a little high. However, it was a very busy Saturday night. All in all, it was a great experience.

The cocktails were great; food was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was wonderful; perfect blend of attentiveness and giving us our space to enjoy catching up with each other. There was such positive energy pulsing through the restaurant, and it was the perfect start to our evening.

Once again, a great experience. We were greeted warmly at the door, our dinner was excellent, the service was efficient, and Natasha ensured that we were well cared for. I can't recommend Basta highly enough!

We enjoyed the restaurant as the food and service was great. I'd say that our two issues would be, if you have an even number of people at the table you should have an even number of slices of bread. There were two of us and three slices of bread came out, the math doesn't add up, and truthfully, with the slices as small as they are you can afford to put a few more slices on the table. The bread slices should be a number divisible by the amount of people in the party. The dipping oil with the garlic confit and balsamic was a great touch. Also, the live music was good and while I enjoy Simon and Garfunkel as well as other songs from the 70's this is an Italian restaurant that goes out of it's way to make it have an Italian feel and the music should reflect that.

My husband and I went the day after Valentine's Day (only day we could get a reservation) and it was wonderful! Food was great, service was phenomenal, and they even gave us complimentary rose water as we were leaving. Sad that we missed the 1,000 roses though, missed by one day!

I had the pasta seafood special. The pasta was good, the shrimp was over cooked, they used bay scallops (very low end and unexpected for a so called quality dining restaurant) the dish was overly spiced and definitely over priced for the lack of quality and lack of imagination. I will never go back, nor will I recommend it to anyone.

We went here for Valentine's Day and the atmosphere was incredible. The "Night's of 1,000 Roses" was such a nice touch to the restaurant. The live violinist was a fantastic touch to a romantic evening.
