Chelo's Hometown Bar & Grille

Our second trip there in 5 years and it was completely fabulous. Waitress Jen was incredibly attentive, great menu and awesome food that came so fast. The cheesecake is the best we ever had and the homemade whipped cream was to die for. And it was the first time we had so much whipped cream we couldn't even finish it!

You can’t beat Chelo’s Cranston location. The staff is always friendly, the food is always good, and they get it out fast so it is the perfect place to go for a quick sit-down lunch. Tanya is the best bartender in the state and always makes it an enjoyable dining experience.

Overall, I had a great experience. The only thing I’d like to mention is that I ordered the lobster mac & cheese but received the buffalo chicken mac & cheese instead. I completely understand that mistakes can happen, especially when the place is busy. Once I received the correct order, I really enjoyed it—though I did find the lobster to be a bit overcooked for my taste.

The mushroom burger was amazing! Carrot cake, always, to die for. Our waitress was very sweet. I wish I could remember her name. It was a great experience. I love Chelo's.

All the Chelos locations are great, and Cranston is one of the best! Great food, staff, and bartenders. Food is hearty, fresh, and full servings at a fair price. Bar is fun and perfect location next to Garden City and not far from Park Theater. Highly recommend eating here and enjoying the friendly vibe. Lots of TVs for games and Keno too.

Great experience. The clam chowder was just right. I ordered the chicken pot pie with a salad and mash potatoes. The sides were fresh and tasted wonderful. The pot pie was okay as it seemed to have too much fat. I could taste that the recipe was probably not followed properly (if that makes sense). It would have been a 5 star meal if it wasn’t for the pot pie. The banana with berry pie is a must try. A local, told me that it is in season only. If it’s available, get it!
