I’ve been trying to get into the shop for a while now, but my schedule doesn’t usually allow for the drive. However, I made it in today and was very delighted. The cheesemonger was clearly passionate. They didn’t have exactly what I was looking for, but the suggested replacement was just as great, if not better. It was also suggested that I take a taste of a different cheese that he didn’t have much left of and I ended up buying half of the remainder. Also, he wasn’t pushy about it at all. Now that I know what I’ve gotten myself in to, which could quickly get very dangerous, I’ll come in more frequently. I already have a list of more that I will like to try in his case. Five stars for me and I strongly suggest checking them out.
No no no! Witnessed a new employee get blatantly harassed, yelled at, belittled, mocked, etc. while waiting to put our order in. After I could not stand to witness anymore, I confronted the male owner to which he proceeded to talk over me and blame everything on the new staff member. I have been coming here for years and will NOT be returning. I felt so badly for the worker, who was quietly just taking barking orders from the owner. Complete unprofessionalism, mismanagement and poor customer service. As we left, the owner told the worker to leave and even made a snide remark that they should ask us for a ride home. No more cheese here for me!
A good selection of cheeses, and the person helping us was very knowledgeable, however, I found his way of doing things deeply unsanitary. He touched everything--touched his clothes, touched his skin, touched his cash register, touched the meats and cheeses, and never washed his hands or wore gloves. The space is dark and unkempt as well. Won't be returning.
Edgewood cheese shop is a very high end with reasonable pricing for specialty cheese. The events are fun especially the charcuterie boards !! The owner Adrienne is so helpful as I went in for the first time with little cheese knowledge. Thank you !!
We had and continue to always have a wonderful experience at this cheese shop. The staff always take the time to explain the different options and give recommendations, and they have a great selection of platters to choose from. Definitely a great place to stop by!
They have a variety of many different cheeses and meets and the owner was very knowledgeable. I will go back again!
Called Adrienne a week before my daughter’s wedding reception for charcuterie platters to accommodate 111 people. Not o my did she step up at such short notice but delivered them to us as I am from out of state. The charcuterie looked like they were from a magazine and the various tastes were spectacular. The chef who cooked for the wedding was impressed!Thank you Adrienne and I will be at your shop next time I travel to RI ?
Can't say enough about this awesome shop!
The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. I love the blueberry goat cheese.
The selection of cheese is phenomenal and the staff is amazing.

Cheese, man.
Huge selection of cheeses...also many cured meats. IF YOU love cheese and want something specific, or just try something new give here a try. They also have sampler trays
Been here for cheese 4 times now and we keep trying a new cheese each time. But falling back to the nutty Prima Donna.
Very helpful shop if you’re into charcuterie boards. They have everything you could need for that kind of stuff.I got to try a bunch of stuff and figure out what was the best for us at home.A lot of locally made items, which I loved.Definitely recommend.(Edit; One of the cheeses in my photo is not sold here. My bf got it from stop and shop when I told him I was doing cheese)
Really cool place, reminded me of a few cheese shops I went to in Italy. Edgewood Cheese was a bonus place for RI Food Fights sandwich month.I got to sample 3 cheeses served with some bread, fig jam and pickles. All the cheeses were unique, fresh and my favorite was the Drunken Goat.I spoke with the owner for a few minutes and he was so friendly and very passionate about his business.
