Driven by this place a million times, it's located just off Plainfield Pike in the back of the VFW (that I also did not know was there). You really have to look, I mean really look, to find this place, but sadly, it's not worth the look.Wife had a beer from tap, Chair 2, that literally took 3.5 minutes to pour. She got it, said it was cold and refreshing. The fact it took so long got me thinking their tap lines may not be so clean, I went with a can (pictured) it was fine.Certainly seems to be a former rent space for the VFW located above the "restaurant ". The space has an assortment of junk just kind of tossed around. There's a few tables just to the right of the bar, kind of the cast off banquets type and I get the feeling no one has sat at these tables since Reagan was in office. It just has a real dirty feeling to it, frankly it made us quite apprehensive about ordering food, but it's said to be famous on their sign, and Iconic is the name, so don't judge a book right? The cook was actually sitting at the bar drinking, seemed like a very nice guy. Patrons were all clearly former veterans and just came down from the VFW (upstairs), there is absolutely no foot traffic in this place. We ordered boneless barbecue tenders, they were a huge portion! However, the breading was basically falling off the chicken. Now, the food, Chicken itself was "ok" definitely nothing iconic about it. Was odd, for a place called Iconic Eats they don't even attempt to give you a menu or even ask if you're interested in eating, Should tell you something right there. The bartender was also, "ok", seemed much more interested in the few locals that were there than seeing if we wanted another drink. Overall, place was pretty dirty feeling, definitely geared toward the few that stumble down from the VFW and little interest toward new customers. We had a party with 50+ and the food was delicious and we had plenty. I went to another catered event and not at all happy with that caterer's food no where near the quality as Iconic Eats. We will be eating there as many of the regular items sound delicious. Truly recommendKid-friendliness: Have food they will eatParking: Plenty and additional in a top lotWheelchair accessibility: Entry is flat and inside remains flat no stairs

Would never recommend this place. The pizza was horrible, Mac and cheese was disgusting. This has been the worst place I’ve ordered food from.

3 of my friends and I wanted to try a new place out for lunch. We thought this place looked good. Not only was the wait time ridiculous, We got 4 burgers and the first impression was that the burgers were absolutely tiny. Some were over cooked and still cold, and some were not cooked enough! The onion rings tasted like crunchy dust,The bbq chix mac and cheese didnt taste like real chicken at all! it tasted like a stouffers frozen meal!! And on top of that i got to finish my less than appetizing meal with some “chocolate cake”. Its something that i can only compare to as the worst frozen chocolate fudge brownie i have ever had! Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy!

First time ordering and I gotta say....get a sign. I almost attended a quinsiniera. Seriously though, food was on time, well prepared, hot and tasty. 3 of us had burgers and fries, myself going for the cowboy burger. The onion rings were amazing. Definitely will order again.
