L'Osteria is more than just a meal; it's an experience. From the moment you step through the door, you're enveloped in an atmosphere that's both elegant and inviting, promising a memorable evening.
The menu at L'Osteria is a testament to authentic Italian cuisine, with each dish crafted with precision and passion. We savored every bite of the homemade pasta, perfectly al dente and coated in rich, flavorful sauces that transported us straight to Italy. The risotto was equally impressive, creamy and comforting, with a depth of flavor that spoke of quality ingredients and expert preparation. And for dessert, the tiramisu was a dream – light, airy, and with just the right balance of coffee and sweetness.
But a true highlight of our visit was the bar, expertly helmed by Amanda. Her skill and passion for mixology are evident in every drink she creates. Amanda's recommendations were spot-on, guiding us to cocktails that perfectly complemented our meal. She crafted a negroni that was flawlessly balanced, and her espresso martini was a delightful pick-me-up. Beyond her impressive talent, Amanda's warm and engaging personality made our evening even more enjoyable. She's a true professional who genuinely cares about her guests' experience.
L'Osteria is a must-visit for anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. With its exquisite food, charming ambiance, and a truly outstanding bartender like Amanda, it's a place we'll be raving about and returning to again and again.

My favorite restaurant in Cranston
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Have been coming for almost 18 years (fun fact: the owner gave my daughter her first piece of fresh Italian bread at 9 months old 😊) Small, cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Owner and staff are friendly and accommodating…When you go you feel like family. I took a friend for the first time 2 weeks ago and she’s already been back twice! Some of my favorites include: lemon drop and espresso martinis, gnocchi sorrentina, caprese salad, chicken under a brick and HANDS DOWN the BEST TIRAMISU in the state!! Would highly recommend if you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine.

First time at this restaurant. My girlfriends all recommended. We entered and as someone in the service industry I am extremely understanding and reasonable when going out to eat. I understand how a Saturday nignt can be, but there was no excuse for how tonight’s experience was. We sat down and it took the server 15 min to come over to us she didn’t introduce herself and was brief with us. first thing she said was “Are we ready to order?” My friend stepped in and said “Can we please get the specials and some drinks working first.” As someone in this industry the steps of service were simply not there. She was straight to the point and was clearly not there for a good tip she was extremely attentive to all the other tables around us which I thought was a little interesting. Not sure if we were neglected because we are all young adults but we were simply there trying to enjoy a meal just like everyone else there. We waited over 25 minutes for just appetizers and then over an hour for our entrees with minimal service at our table in between. We were rudely ignored most of our experience and watched the owner touch almost every other table in the small small restaurant other than ours until towards the end when we were clearly giving some looks so we could get some answers on why our food was taking so long. He then says “It’s coming girls” and laughs and pushes a chair into the table as if he was doing something and then proceeded to sit two tables down from us and enjoy his glass of wine. Honestly I was just flabbergasted. The food then came out over an hour later and all of us ordered pasta dishes we didn’t order some fancy meat that could have taken an hour to prepare… it was PASTA. I have gone to some high end AUTHENTIC ITALIAN restaurants and have had even better gnocchi that took not even 30 minutes. When our food was dropped of I asked to speak with someone about the wait time before I even was able to start eating my meal. The owner comes over extremely unapproachable and was VERY rude. I simply said to him, “ Hi there, I just wanted to make you aware of how long our food took and how no one even let us know it might take a while or mentioned you guys were a bit backed up.” I then said “I work in the food industry and I have never experienced dining like this before with this type of service and the obnoxious wait time” He rudely replied and said “Do you work in a small restaurant? Well this restaurant is small and has limited people and only two servers… what would u like me to do about that” I then said “I understand that, but an apology or our table being touched as to why our food has been taking so long would’ve been nice coming from the OWNER of a restaurant. He insulted my friends and I and said “this isn’t fast food, if that’s what you were expecting, this food takes long because it’s good quality… you want it to taste good right?” and then left our table keep in mind I never asked for anything discounted, just a simply apology and recognition that it was extremely long and unprofessional for how our experience was handled. I then continued to start eating my Gnochii which was cold and the server came over asked how everything was and I sent my dish back to be warmed. Absolutely unbelievable standard for this man to have when he expected it to be the most mouth watering dish for waiting and hour and it came out like they just heated in in the microwave. Not even 5 min later a brand new dish was brought out which was ironic considering it took over an hour for my first dish. Superrr unprofessional, unpleasant and unprepared. Wouldn’t recommend. Disappointed to say the least. In this industry making the customer feel heard and valued in these types of situation should be the #1 priority and this man couldn’t have cared less. I suppose if that’s the kinda of business owner you are then you’ll start to realize why i’m not the only negative review on here.

This is a quaint little place that serves big delicious dishes. The menu is plentiful. I ordered the cioppino which had a ton of fish and seafood. It was so good. Reasonably priced. My friend ordered the steak special and she said she really enjoyed that. I recommend this place and would definitely visit again.
Edit: was so good I went back 4 days later and had the sole and shrimp. Again, Delicious! Had the gelato with limoncello sauce for dessert.

Had an 8:00 reservation for 5 for my friends birthday. We all have never been here before, just before we were leaving 2 people had canceled on us because they got the stomach bug. When we got there the place was full of people standing at the door waiting. My friend had told the owner that we had a reservation and immediately apologized for having 2 less people. He instantly was rude and said we need to call before hand even though we didn’t know beforehand. Which is totally understandable but some things are out of our control. He said he had to break down the table now. So he split the table and a group of people who was waiting there with no reservation were sat before us, and then another couple was sat at the half of the table he split. Then he went behind the bar to stock glasses and didn’t set our table for us. We were standing there for 10 minutes while he went around the restaurant and ignored us. Trying to punish us for not calling on things we can’t control which in turn gave him extra tables to seat the people who were waiting. After I had asked what was going on he said we have to wait he has other guests. I can’t believe the way we were treated, we left I was completely turned off. TERRIBLE experience I will NEVER return such ignorant people there.

Small place but the ruined it when they pulled the American Airline mileage program on the weekends. This place is 20+ miles from my area there are many Italian restaurants in the state that are close by that has better parking. First went there because of the AA miles. But then they restricted it to non weekends. This stopped us from going.

Don't go there hungry. Waitress asked if we wanted bread. We said yes and didn't get it for 30 minutes. Ordered a mozzerella appetizer which was supposed to be fried, she brought out bean bruschetta. Told her that was not what we ordered and had to wait a long time for the mozzarella bruschetta appetizer, which is also not what we ordered but accepted it because we were hungry. We were stuck in the back corner, with no real atmosphere. Our dinner did not come out for 1 hr 45 minutes, and by that time, we were ready to leave. The food was ok, but it was not worth the wait.
