Macera's Italian Restaurant

When I first went there food was great,know some of the meals has changed. I do love the atmosphere though.

Parking: Parking is good until it gets really busy then it's hard to find a place. I would suggest you would call and make reservations

Food was very good, the chicken soup was fantastic. We did wait 20 minutes before we were greeted by a server. My fiance ordered chicken parm and a salad, our server told us it is an up charge for a salad but the soup is free. She questioned the server about the up charge because the menu said soup or salad was included with her entree. The server told her the cost of lettuce is expensive so they charge more. I told her to stop, the up charge isn't a big deal, i figured the upcharge was on the menu. When we got home i checked the menu online and it does state soup or salad is included. No upcharge is mentioned. I just had to admit she was right, we shouldn't have been charged $3, your menu should state you up charge for a salad. She was right. The girl who brought us our water and cleared on plates was fantastic at her job. Men never want to seem cheap, while women do not care about being cheap they care about being right, and she was right.

We just absolutely love their soups here!

Stopped here on our way to Roger William’s zoo. It was decorated so festively. We were met with a smiling hostess and because of no available seats in the dining room we were offered seating in the bar. Our server Tomas was so friendly and attentive. The food was great. The escarole chicken soup tasted like my grandmothers. My husband liked his chicken francaise and I loved my chicken parm. Another member of our party had the fall chicken ravioli special rounded out by penne and meatballs. All and all a great meal in a lovely clean atmosphere with excellent service. We will be back..

The service was great! The portion sizes were plentiful, and the food was seasoned to perfection!! The prices were reasonable based on the current market. Would be a definite recommend.

Been trying them out for the last few months. Tonight wasn't good. Asked for veal Parm sand. Xtra sauce. Veal was burnt and dry, no extra sauce. Disappointed ?
