Really a pleasant surprise. Charming inside, excellent service and food that rivals the best Italian restaurants in RI. We had the chicken Milanese which was the best I’ve ever eaten and the chicken parm was fantastic as well. Pickled veggies and focaccia bread to start really hit the spot. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

Unfortunately I believe Merlinos have changed there pizza recipe. Recently got there pizza and it was completely different than the last time we've bought from here. The pizza sauce that is used is more tart along with not a lot of cheese being used. I do like the addition of the parmesan on the pizza however the recipe is different and the pizza tastes completely different as well.

Beware- they use Slice as their online ordering platform on their website but take no ownership for mistakes made by Slice and will make it your problem. I ordered two pizzas with multiple toppings but apparently Slice didn’t forward the order correctly, so no toppings. I called them and told them I’d come back in and pickup the correct pizzas and show them the receipt with what I actually ordered. They put up a longer fight than I should have had to deal with. They did remake the pizzas but after a battle and them not accepting responsibility for the ordering platform that they choose to use. Don’t pass your bad decisions onto your customers or you’ll lose customers. There are plenty of pizza places around, the pizza is good here but not worth the hassle.
Edit: In response to the owner’s comment, I was compensated, but I shouldn’t have had to fight for it. I’ve also adjusted my review to be more fair and less angry.

The pizza, the calzones…just amazing. We’re just picked up a half dozen pizza’s and a couple of calzones for a Friday office lunch and it was A HOME RUN!!! Over all it got a 9.2, Dave Portnoy! Pro tip- don’t miss the Dolce pizza!!!

Merlino’s Pizza: A Love Story in Cheese, Spice, and Dough
I thought I knew pizza. I thought I had experienced all that cheese, dough, and sauce had to offer. Then I met Merlino’s, and my whole world changed.
First, the Spinach Calzone—a glorious, golden, cheese-stuffed pocket of happiness. It’s like a cozy blanket made of dough, wrapping up spinach and ricotta in a warm embrace. Popeye himself would ditch his can of spinach for this masterpiece.
Then, the Italian calzone. Listen, if there’s a better way to eat cheese and meats wrapped in pillowy dough, I don’t want to know about it. It’s like a pizza burrito from heaven.
And let’s talk about the Dolce Piccante pizza. Sweet? Spicy? Unreal? Yes, yes, and yes. This pizza has the range. One bite, and I was questioning my life choices—why had I wasted so many years not knowing about this flavor explosion? It’s the kind of pizza that makes you reevaluate your priorities.
Long story short, Merlino’s isn’t just making food. They’re creating edible works of art. If loving this pizza is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
5/5 stars. 10/10 would eat until I physically can’t move.
So glad we stepped out of our comfort zone and tried a new place I had been wanting to check out for a while now! Staff were great and the pizza was phenomenal and worth every single calorie!!!

We got a pepperoni and olive pizza, cheese pizza, and started the night off right with some parmesan garlic fries. Slices are pretty big, which we liked. Great service with yummy food. Small lil’ seating area but very, very homey and down to earth. The workers were so nice, and we’ll definitely be going again. God bless you guys! 🍕❤️☺️
