The Cranston location was disappointing. We ordered Cherry danish pastries and they weren’t fresh at all. Panera used to offer a beautiful fresh assortment of pastries, raisin strudels and muffins. The greeting at the register wasn’t very welcoming.
No matter how slow or busy it always take 15mins or more to just get a bagel thrown in a bag. And they never make orders correctly. This location is the worst
I’ll preface this with it’s my fault for not learning my lesson and going back again and again. I have continuously had a bad experience at this store for over a year now and keep convincing myself “well it can’t be bad EVERY time”. I’ve finally gotten the hint.
Notable bad experiences include but not limited to: placed pickup order, and after picking up and getting home realized I didn’t receive my sandwich. Called the store to give them a heads up that I was on my way back to get the food I paid for, and person on the phone was lovely and assured it’d be ready when I got there. When I got there they didn’t know anything about it, and when I asked the manager who happened to be up front (at the time I thought she was the one on the phone), she was rude and made me feel like I did something wrong/I was inconveniencing her….ended up leaving with my sandwich that was practically thrown at me by the annoyed (?!) kitchen staff 10 minutes later.
After that I said ok I’ll chalk that up to her and the team having a bad day.
I go back again a couple weeks later, the sandwich I ordered was slopped together and looked worse than something you would get at a gas station. Barely a scoop of chicken salad, one piece of lettuce and a tomato, soggy bread.
Followed by a few more experiences with sub par food.
I figure there’s no way an order for a bagel - just sliced and to go - can go wrong, so I go back. This time I’m hoping to go through the drive through. I pull up and there’s a “cash only - sorry for the inconvenience” sign. I ask them does this mean cash only inside too or just drive through? The person was very confused by this, making it seem like they didn’t even know that sign was there. I give up, knowing now this is likely going to be another bad experience I want to spare myself from, and drive away without anything.
And lastly, a couple weeks later, I figure I’ll give it one more shot. Go to drive through at peak breakfast time to try and get a bagel and they say “sorry we’re only doing online pickup orders, you can come inside if you’d like”.
What is going on at this place? Giving it 2 stars because I’ve never seen it dirty or anything like that, and most of the staff is pleasant, but the actual food, service, and experience is a nightmare. For the price you’re paying, much better to spend it elsewhere.

I was standing in the wait area and it was busy. So I stood by a doorway because nobody was there and it was the only area. I worked late (till 3am and had to take my mom to the drs.) This lady in a cart goes excuse me’ really rudely and I moved. She proceeded to yell out “I only said it 3 times”. I’m not awake but I needed sleep. So excuse me. I work in the food industry too but I would say that to a customer.

The Panera on Rt 2 in Warwick ri is an A++
I’ve been there 100 or so times and everyone is in perfect harmony and exceed expectations in quality and exactness
The Panera in Garden City is a train wreck The dozen times I’ve been there is inexplicable. Never once has an order been
as prescribed. I swear it’s done on purpose.
I never get take out If I did I’d probably loss my mind as I did last time I had a sit down. After 12 disasters I finally went off at the pick up. I’m sorry I went off on the girl serving but she was the only only one there. Apparently the manager was afraid to stop by. I’ll never ask for my money back anywhere and on top of all this , believe it or not IM NOT A COMPLAINER!!!! What does that tell you?

would give less if i could - not employees fault., all on management not staffing enough and not caring for months for customers to use drive through for orders

This is the first time I’ve ever written a review, but after today’s experience , I felt compelled to do so.
I walked in and the cashier was taking an order ; following the completion of her order, the cashier said she would be right back. I when she returned ( 17 minutes later) she was about as pleasant as a rhino giving birth. We received the pager and picked out our food ( the kitchen staff was really nice) . We got ito the dining room and I thought a tornado had blown threw; the were spilled drinks and napkins strewn all over the place . I will never return .

Don’t use the drive thur they forget they have customer waiting and you’ll be there for over 20 min.
